I did plugs, intakes, down pipes, borla, and about 9 to 12 above sea level.just wondering I’ve ran only ran up to map 2 on 93.also few weeks ago put 3 gallons 100 octane in it with 5 gal 93. But was nervous about going to higher map. Hit 17.2 pounds boost on map 2 with that mix.

Ok this is strictly anecdotal, I know no one has tried this and Terry and other tuners don't recommend it, but, I have been running my JB4 on stock plugs since day one and have managed to progress to higher maps with no misfires (yet). I originally ran it on map one for a couple thousand miles, figuring I would eventually get around to having the new plugs (riding in the glove box for months) installed. Then I figured the only way I would actually change them was if I had reason to, so I set out to see how high I could go before a plug blew.

I started with map two, with Shell 93 in the tank. After about 200 miles of no stuttering or issues, I got more 93 and added some Kroger E85 (the only place I've found around here) and tried map 3. It's been more of the same, strong pulls, no hesitation and no misfire.

That's as high as I've gone so far, and again, I WILL get the plugs changed when I have time. Just sharing this because I'm surprised I've been able to go this far on stock plugs, when, for comparison, I blew two of them after just a week of using the lap3 chip.

Did you regap them at least? Stock plug gap is a broken plug waiting to happen. :)

Nope, stock plugs, stock gap. I'm sure one will blow eventually but so far they've proved to be pretty tough.

Mine are swapped to Densos and gapped at .022!!! Might be in my head but the car doesn’t “feel” stronger... it does feel slightly less responsive. My wife drove it and said the same. The engine, however, sounds smoother.

Still on Map1, USPS seems to have lost my freaking Bluetooth kit!!!!!

JB4 fuel wires ordered... no dought the car is running rich, already soothed out the tail pipes. But I should be good to hit the higher maps soon.

And @Crewdawg130 has been a TREMENDOUS help. Thanks bro, great advice on getting the coils out.

Exhaust and intakes really does justice with jb4.this car is so clogged with stock intake and exhaust. It’s probably good for 50 hp when you let the car breathe.

Map7 is pretty aggressive especially on the v6 firmware. Next map up from map2 is map3. Then map5. I'd keep map7 for the people who are very experienced at reading logs and know what they're doing. :)

I’ve got exhaust, removed the intakes (might put em’ back in). I’m hopping wires will get rid of some sooting.... she’s Piggy rich I’m sure.

Ya I have fuel wires on mine.it leans out pretty good from the numbers we are all running per terry. But still alttile sootie out back.

So what are your requirements to run map 7 to know what I’m doing?

First step is your experienced and doing and reading your logs. Normally map7 requires unleaded race gas, rather than E85, due to a weaker high pressure fuel pump on the platform. Especially so during colder weather when you're making more power. :)

Yes I would only use with race gas I understand how that works.just wondering if there was anything else. Been running map 2 with know problem with all mods.

Next step up is map3. Good to go up incrementally if evaluating.

is Map 6 something better to test out first . Before going to 7 . By being able to adjust the boost?

Alright that’s what I will be doing then. Map3 thanks terry you are the one that knows this system best. I Appreciate You responding to all of us when we have questions.

Anyone see any improvement removing the mufflers while using CAI and JB4?

I’m 100% sure removing the mufflers would help any other mod!!!

But it will drone like a Mofo.
