Mine finally showed up last Tuesday the 9th. One end on each of the muffler sections had the pipes bent in - one was pretty bad. Spent about an hour and a lot of beating and banging and it is 98% mostly round now. It on the exit pipes so not really too critical
That’s a hassle. I can’t be bothered. I’m gonna let my man work his magic. Hopefully, it will arrive in new condition. Should be here on Wednesday, installed on Saturday.
I had to slightly massage one of the muffler inlet pipes on mine as it was bent enough to not allow it to slip over the xpipe end. Not a huge deal but mildly annoying
The box could be about 4 inches longer so some padding could be put on the inside of the ends. That's where both of mine got whacked - each end. Seems to be trend with these.
I finally finished installing mine today and love it so far. I was wondering if anyone else with an intake installed before installing exhaust noticed the intake noise got noticeably louder after putting in aftermarket exhaust? Wondering if I need to get under the hood and see if something needs to be tightened down. The only other thing I can think of is that the intakes can draw in more air now that the exhaust has been opened up.
Yes, leaks at the muffler clamps where the pipes turn upwards. The other clamps that are further forward have been fine for me.
I only had trouble with my passenger side one leaking. I replaced it with one of these and its been leak-free since. Downside is that there isn't enough room to fit one on the driver's side due to the curve in the piping. If you can find one like this that is shorter it would work. In my opinion, this style of clamp is the best way to eliminate a leak for this application.
How were you able to tell where you were getting leaks? I spent forever pulling on the muffler clamps with a breaker bar today but couldn’t tell if I got them tight enough.

Hi...finally got my SS MBRP delivered and plan on installing it this week. I know of the talk of "bad" clamps with the MBRP, but I'd like to know how many people on here have installed with the clamps and had no problems. Do I really need to buy different clamps?

I installed today and saw what others have referred to with the clamps. The clamps up front connecting to the x-pipe were easy because the connecting pipes are straight. The back clamps connecting the muffler are harder though because they are curved at the connection. I used a breaker bar/torque wrench to create as much leverage as I could to get them tightened down. Seems to be ok so far but hard to tell as I’ve only driven 3 times since installing. Sounds great but there is a little drone even with new tips installed which is why I’m curious to see if I got the back clamps tightened fully.

I took my Stinger to a shop to get the MBRP exhaust and Akropovic round tips (IN 63mm OUT 89mm) installed and they said they need to trim quite a bit of the bumper off in order for them to fit. I read a few posts that only a few mm needs to be shaved down in order for the exhaust tips to fit through the hole but this doesn't seem the case for me. Maybe the seller sent me the wrong size?

Ugh.. Looks like the seller sent me the wrong size. I received IN 66mm instead of 63mm. Dumb ass me didn't double check before bringing it to the shop.
Will the 3mm really make a difference? I know it will be a tight squeeze and will require some shaving. I'm no expert when it comes to these things but still can't wrap my head around how 3mm can make a huge difference based on the photo I took. Excuse the dirty car

Anyone have vibration after install of MBRP? Sunglasses vibrate in holder at low RPM and can feel it in the seat. Everything looked tight and installed correctly.
Installed with factory tips. Is loud inside but not too bad. Much deeper than my 99 Si. Like the sound. Don’t like the shake.
Sorry if this Might have been answered previously but search didn’t find what I was looking for.
