MBRP Exhaust

Installed my MBRP exhaust last after already having Injen CAI and Ark secondary downpipes installed earlier last week. Setup sounds great, but have an unbearable drone at highway speeds (70-80mph) at 2000-25000rpm in sport mode. Switching to comfort mode brings the rpms down to right below 2000 and the drone becomes somewhat tolerable. Have tips waiting to be shipped from aliexpress so hoping that will help the situation a little bit.

Who Knows when/if the tips from Aliexpress will ship with everything happening over there. I ordered a set on 2/11 and it's been cricket's ever since. I screwed up my first order and relized it 10 min later, cancelled that order and ordered the correct size. I emailed the store and they have not gotten back to me or credited my paypal. Everything could still be closed over there and who knows if this virus can live on surfaces for a long tim ed. Ive read too much conflicting info

Same here! ordered twice and cancelled both orders, realized wont order it till the virus clears up.

I washed my car today, and noticed something a little concerning by the tips. Looks like a bit of melting, but only on the right side. Any suggestions? Not much room to adjust the tips up, so maybe some heat tape?

Not to rub it in for those still waiting for theirs, but I went through discount bandit, ordered an Aluminium MBRP on sunday, 2/23, for under $600 shipped and it just arrived today, Tuesday 2/25 at about noon. Was a little concerned with the discount bandit process, but it worked well. Still waiting on tips now.

I ordered from Amazon yesterday and will have on Friday. Looks like the same that I'd get from Ali.

I sold the exhaust due to the unbearable drone when cruising at the speeds that you mentioned. Glad I'm not the only one with "sensitive" ears.

This makes me incredibly nervous. I'm gonna give my exhaust shop some attempts to make adjustments to my liking if I dont like the first attempt. I dont mind spending a bit of extra money to get it perfect, but if I cant get it perfect, there will be another for sale posting

I would say dont beat your head against the wall paying for hunt and peck exhaust solutions. If the sound bothers you start by putting sound absorption material in the trunk area

Yep, that is already being delivered. I will have that installed before I have the exhaust installed. I figure it's a good idea to have in any case.

Yes, just below the left tip. I looked at it this morning after getting to work, and it's definitely melting a bit (I'm guessing the plastic used for this bit of the bumper isn't designed to resist heat). It's the hot water coming out of the exhaust that's causing the issue, so I've ordered some DEI Reflect-A-GOLD polyamide glass thermal barrier to stick on the bumper below the tips.
