So has anybody added resonators to the mbrp exhaust, maybe something similar to the stock resonators. Guarantee that's going to take away the raspiness. If these resonated tips don't do it I'm going to add them I need to deepen the tone of this exhaust and subdue some of the notes when I'm in drive just puting around town it sounds like a pile of s*** Honda shifting through gears unless I'm full throttle then it sounds great. If anybody's done this pics please

i really think your exhaust has some type of defect because mine sounds great, and that seems to be everyone else's experience. Or maybe it's caused by your downpipes. I'm just running the catback with stock downpipes. Maybe try it that way. Might not be the volume level you're looking for, but if you try that and still have the tin can sound, it has to be a defect

I agree. Try this before you cut up your exhaust.

Yeah I'm going to do some testing, going to try to run it on a dyno, I just may be getting some reverberation and rattling coming from those stupid fake exhaust tips and that metal plate that separates them. but I guarantee I wouldn't have this sound if it wasn't for the downpipes. That's like adding two more mufflers to my system which would quiet it way down but yes I'm looking for the high flow.

I'd experiment with resonators in those midpipes before hacking up a $1k catback if I were you.

Yeah I believe you me I'm not looking forward to doing all this work just to try to make the exhaust sound good. The tips come first to see if it's possibly drone related

But yeah that makes sense I would probably put the resonators into the downpipes

Question for you guys that have the MBRP Exhaust with (DP/MP) are not liking the sound it makes? would like your to hear your opinion on it.

I know @87and66 write a review but he has the stock MP in there.

I have stock primaries with the ark catless secondaries and it sounds good minus the cold starts in the morning. On cold starts I get that raspiness sound. Other than that the system Sounds pretty good all around except I do get a little drone at around 2k rpm even with tips out the back. I also just checked to see if my clamps are leaking and all 4 are definitely leaking a bit so hopefully that’s the reason why I’m getting raspy cold starts

Nice! how much they charged you for the install?
Tax in it was CDN $319. The passenger side “hanging clip” had to be heated and move about 3/16 to allow the tips to be centred otherwise the inboard one would have rubbed on the diffuser driving me nuts and possibly heat damaging it. So that likely added 30 or 40 bucks to the total. All in all very happy with the work and professionalism. In hindsight I’m glad I paid to have it done, the centring and aligning of the mufflers looked like it would have been a real royal p.i.t.a from under a rear end on ramps. However in saying that the $300+ would have looked great in the form of a rear spoiler. But hey I guess something has to be next up! Cheers.:)

My tech installed mine for $180 downpipes and catback. He works out of his house though has a full-blown lift professional garage. So I definitely scored on the install cost.
