it's weird it only goes through that raspiness for just a second when you first take off and then when it shifts into each gear, then it smooths out but with the touchy throttle response because of the pedal tuner it's just super annoying.

if this was a 6-speed manual it would be no problem at all it would sound fantastic but that it's automatic just ruins everything..

You should make a video to let us understand what you don't like.

Yeah I'll do that later today, I just ordered my resonated exhaust tips so hopefully that will take care of some of this at least the cabin drone

FYI, if you have tips directly connected to the exhaust and there's a lot of vibration / humming around 2k RPM, trim out the holes so they don't touch the tips. I thought I had drone, but it was just vibrations from the exhaust into the back bumper.

Yeah I was wondering about that and yes I will have to do that my tips are 3.8 in in diameter. It actually seems like I can feel it in the armrest coming up a hill that it was vibrating maybe touching the fake tips

That brings up a question and I want to get some clarification. I haven't installed my Akrapovic tips yet. Does anyone have the round Akrapovics installed and getting any kind of vibration/buzzing? I think that's what @GreySpector is saying? I've been worried about that. With the tips making contact with the bumper, maybe vibration might be the result. I have the stock tips right now, and i have no contact, so no vibration. I'd hate to install the Akrapovics, create a problem, then have to take the mufflers back off AGAIN to go back to stock tips.

You shouldn’t have any rasp or noises like you describe with the catless secondaries and stock exhaust. I had mine like that for months and it was a barely noticeable change from stock.

If you’re hearing that sound I’d guess you have something loose or metal touching causing reverb. Try taking a close look underneath to make sure you have clearance and they’re not touching anything or close to touching.

Yeah I know my mbrp exhaust tips are not equal on each side as well so I don't know what I'm going to do about that probably have to go to an exhaust shop to have it straightened out. and I guarantee if it's touching the body you're going to get vibration from this exhaust. I'm seriously contemplating installing some resonators with this exhaust to help smooth out the rasp that I'm getting at certain RPMs generally when taking off, it's absolutely awful sounds like a cheap piece of shit. But the exhaust sounds great when it revs out which you have to do buy paddle shifting all the time or it sounds terrible in my opinion.

I have OBX racing downpipes and the mbrp exhaust not stock exhaust. It is possible the right side tips might be touching the inner fakies they're not equal from side to side the right side is in word on the tips not centered like the left side is not sure what's causing that whether it was the mbrp exhaust or from the OBX.

Ok. The tips should be evenly spaced. My guess is that something is touching or your exhaust brackets are loose. Have any leaks?

No leaks but I'm going to get up underneath there, I'll take some pictures

Something's rattling but nothing is touching so it must be the fascia or something super annoying. As you can see the right one is not centered, a center rod would have been nice for that adjustment. My biggest fear is that there is a defect in one of the muffler's internally.

The file I'm trying to attach is only 12 seconds long. Yet it says it's too large

You might want to get under and shake the pipes. I know my clamps I got didn’t tighten and the shop had to weld the pipes. I have no noise what so ever.

Yeah the guy that installed them told me to bring the car back over we'll put it on the lift and take a look together

Yeah I thought about doing that I'll do it right now. when you hear it you're going to say to yourself there is got to be something touching but I've checked it there is no metal touching anything.
