Okay cool thank you so what did you do to your tailpipes? Looks like you were moved the fakies? Did you put a wrap around those tips as some have done to lessen the drone?

Replaced the stock tips with "Akrapovic" ones. Accomplishes the same thing as the exhaust wrap trick, stops sound from bouncing around under the car.

Nice I'm sure I'll end up doing that too!!!

Pretty much everyone is adding the Akrapovic tips to catback systems.

Would those of you who have experience with this exhaust and others please help rank it in the "exhausts loudest to quietest" thread?

Just a few more hours left to get the MBRP for this ridiculously low price during our Cyber Monday Sale at www.k8stingerstore.com! The price will go back up to MSRP after 11:59 PST tonight. Feel free to message us at sales@k8stingerstore.com if you have any questions but I would highly recommend jumping on this opportunity before it is too late :)

Cquence rotors, Jun BL downpipes, MBRP exhaust, and exhaust tips were installed last night.

To reiterate what some have said earlier in this forum, the Stinger should have come from the factory like this. Since the downpipes and exhaust were installed at the same time, I didn't get an opportunity to experience the difference in sound and performance from them individually. However, with them both installed, the exhaust note is exactly what I was looking for. Not raspy or too loud and obnoxious. Compared to stock, it's significantly louder in the cabin during acceleration, but it just makes the Stinger so much more enjoyable to drive now when you're running through the gears. At highway cruising speeds, there is no noticeable drone either. From outside the car, the sound clips I've heard online don't really do it justice. It sounds even better in person.

Awesome setup! Would love to hear some nice audio of down pipes and MBRP for once.

What tips?

What tips?
Also did any of your exhaust come with gaskets, were you able to reuse any? Neither my downpipes nor mbrp exhaust came with exhaust gaskets. I would imagine muffler shops carry them.

I went with the 63x105 oval tips found on AliExpress. My exhaust and downpipes didn't come with gaskets either, but the shop that did the install used the gaskets that were on the stock downpipes. You should be able to transfer them over without a problem.

I know this is not the best quality of video, but it's the only one I recorded last night after the installation.

I went with these tips. Fit with a little squeeze but did not have to cut or dremel anything.

Wicked Flow in black chrome. Added a Pic compared to the mirror for contrast. Wicked Flow Exhaust Tip 2.5" Inlet 3.5" Outlet 5" Long Black Chrome Tail Pipe | eBay

I have SSR down pipes and had a muffler delete previously. This exhaust is so much better. Not loud all the time but when I punch it, sounds just as aggressive as the muffler delete I had.

Yeah that looks really good and the video clip sounded great. So each tip was $30 you dropped $120 for tips? That seems pretty steep.

Wish it was a little longer but so far so good :)

Anybody have a good place to get those Akrapovic tips?

Ali Express is the place to get it. I got it from there too! It's just the wait time;)

Those tips rock! Just what I was looking for! Thanks for the link. So the Wicked Flow tips you got are 2.5 inlet. These fit the MBRP exhaust? How did you attach them? Thanks.

I like those tips, any pics from directly behind the car.

No problem Rango. I used these clamps. 2X 2.5" Stainless Steel Lap Joint Exhaust Clamp for Catback Muffler Downpipe | eBay

Tips slide over exhaust. I used a small amount exhaust wrap and clamped the tips down on top of it. I'll take some pics of the connection but I am out if town for the week.
