I know, paid for it on 9/10. I liked your tips so much I ordered similar ones. Ive got everything, but no exhaust. Is it worth the wait?

The wait time sucks...
I waited 6 weeks for mine to be made but yes, totally worth it.
They are backed up because the public was much more receptive than they had imagined !

My exhaust has finally arrived, after I assumed it was lost forever. It was, by far, the most painfully dishonest and unprofessional experience I've had with a courier company (the local UPS contractors here in New Zealand: Fli-Way). Install is booked in for tomorrow.

I'm pretty excited for you guys and a little bit jealous. It's coming up on 2 months now and still no word on shipment. :(

Damn! That's ridiculous. Email the vendor or MBRP customer support. MBRP will respond

Yeah, I agree. I ordered it through the K8 store and have sent a few emails to them requesting updates.

I was told that shipments were coming in from MBRP in Canada to each of K8's 3 distributors in Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Since I'm in California, mine would ship from the closest location in Reno, NV once they get it. It's a little disheartening since I was first told on 9/3 that it would ship out from the distributor "later this month" in Sept. Then I was told on 9/30 that the exhaust was shipping to the distribution center on 9/26, would be unpackaged, and then shipped to me that same day. Then I was told again on 10/14 that the distribution center here on the west coast still hadn't received their shipment and that it was scheduled to arrive between 10/19 - 10/25. Still no word yet.

I had the exhaust fitted today, and it sounds great! Not super loud, but enough to catch the attention of anyone nearby. The shop said it all fitted together well, but that they couldn't tighten the couplers enough to stop a bit of leaking, so they ended up welding them.

The round tips I bought were going to be so tight in the exhaust baffle that I decided not to use them. I was worried that they would put stress on the rear by loading up a lot of additional weight onto the rear bumper, and maybe create weird vibrations (which others have reported elsewhere). Considering the whole point of them is to stop unwanted noises, I ordered some new oval 105x75mm tips that should be a better fit.

In the meantime, there isn't any unpleasant drone. It does get a little louder than ideal at around 2k RPM under load, but when cruising it sounds about the same as OEM (I have the trunk lined with dynamat and an additional layer of acoustic absorber). When I floor it, it's super loud. I also noticed that I actually get quite a lot of gurgling and burbling when slowing down, which was an unexpected bonus. All in all, would recommend. It sounds great and the price is right. Coming from a beautifully made HKS in my last car, the quality of the welds in the MBRP are a little lacking, but I guess no-one is ever going to see them.

Anyone that might be on the fence or worried about production and shipping times can use this vendor or these links. I ordered aluminized on Tuesday and just received shipping information for delivery on Thursday.

Looks like they have 3 stainless available. No stake in the game, just trying to help for those who were hesitant because of time lines.

I wonder if MBRP will make a variable exhaust at some point? Their prices are far more reasonable than the other exhaust manufacturers, an at least somewhat reasonably priced variable system would be great.

That is a good question because there are not many options in variable exhausts from US manufacturers.
