Mando SDC EDS10

Bro!! THis is perfect. Everything I need to hook this up. Thank you so much! - I have a dumb question though: If the MANDO Box comes with a power source connector then why do some people use a posi-tap to get power?
Also -How is your driving experience with the BOX? Do you love it? Can you feel a difference when cornering and breaking? Does the steering get tighter as well?
So many questions i know..... get back to me when you can. ...and thank you again for the detailed reply.- E
The single red wire is your power source so you use the posi-tap to get the power from the fuse box. The other connectors are ground space and a connector to hock the OEM module to there Mando then to the car.

I’m not D.J., but I’ve been enjoying my Mando SDC EDS10 for a while now. It allows me to fix what I thought was the worst handling behavior for my use of the car…the wallow in the rear on anything but smooth curves.

Yes, a rear anti-sway bar is likely the best solution, but I’m able to tune out most of this by ensuring the rear stiffness is higher than the front by at least 10%…even in the softest comfort tune.

Plus, I’ve created a tune that both more comfortable and more sure-footed and a tune that’s capable of canyon carving. You can (well, I can) really feel the difference between them.

We’re only changing dampening characteristics here, so no real changes to steering, but with roll and pitch better controlled, there is a bit more immediacy to the steering since there’s less body and suspension/steering movement to wait for. The car feels a bit lighter, sharper, and sure-footed.

Best bang-for-the-buck so far!…though I REALLY wish a tune select (not tune edit) CarPlay app was available. I’d rather not have to pull over to switch tunes.

Enjoy!
DeltaV - Thank you!.I want the MANDO to be like the JB4 on my Stinger and that is that I cant imagine the car without it. I really appreciate your input. Would you mind sending a screenshot of the settings for "Canyon Carving" (love it). - E

The ECS10 does not come with any connectors to connect the power wire to your vehicle - the red wire is just a bare wire.
You can use a posi-tap or scotch lock to tap into power - or use a fuse tap, (as I did) to tap into power. Just a different connection technique which yields the same results. (Same result if you tap into the correct wire/correct fuse)

Love it - YES
feel a difference - YES
Steering get tighter - well .... depends. The suspension gets firmer or less firm - you control it. You can still use the cars integrated drive mode settings to set the steering to "sport" if that suits you.

Unfortunately there is no way (that I know of) to backup or share a suspension profile other than screenshots. If you lose or replace your phone, you would have to re-create your suspension profiles.

One of my custom profiles looks like this - this very firm and very sporty, feels like a whole different car vs stock with this profie: this advanced profile is speed sensitive and is continually adjusted with vehicle speed
4 screenshots is 1 profile.
Ride - front and rear
Handling - front and rear

Actually got these from another forum member in another thread. These developed there over time and I *may* have tweaked them a bit (I forget).

So, I claim no authorship but I’m enjoying it.

I’ll drop another tune here in a bit.

This one is for when great aunt Sadie is in the car. Very comfortable but still balanced.

And an example of the basic (vs advanced) interface…

I apologize for being a pest but my MANDO came today. You said it came with a bare 12v wire for power (red wire). What is that connector you have the bare (red) wire going into to connect to the fuse box?
Thx -E

A standard Micro 2 fuse tap
Available just about anywhere.
Use the smallest fuse you can find. 5 amp will do

Not mini
Not micro
Not low profile
Micro 2 is the one

Gebildet 4pcs 12V 24V Add-a-Circuit Micro 2 Fuse Tap, Piggy Back Blade Fuse Holder with Wire Harness, 6 pcs Micro 2 Fuse (5A 10A 15A) and Fuse Puller https://a.co/d/cNtMr8s

Thank you! I appreciate all your help. Looking forward to installing this thing.

So I hooked up the MANDO this weekend. Definitely feel what all the hype is about.
THE THING IS the green light is BLINKING. It is not a solid green light. Is that what is supposed to happen?
The MANDO works but the green light blinks.
Also my DBL light came on (Dynamic Bending Lights) it was not on before I connected the MANDO so it must have been something I did.

When does the green light blink?

Your DBL issue sounds more coincidental than anything else

Whenever the car is on.

Whenever the car is on.
If you are able to connect to it, to enable it, then all is well.

I can't easily see mine, so I can't confirm the LED status. But if it is communicating with your phone, and is able to be "enabled", then you are good to go

In this pic of the fuse connection, it looks like there are 2 fuses in the connector. One of them I assume is the 10 that was in the slot prior to adding the connector. The other slot on the connector closest to the camera lookslike there is a yellow one in it? What is that?

The red fuse (10A), is the original fuse for that slot. The red fuse completes the original circuit.

The TAN fuse, which looks yellow in this pic, (5A) provides fused power to my ECS10.

This is a helpful diagram showing the connection path.

Thank you!
Sh** - I do not have anything in that slot. ...Yet the Mando is connecting to the APP. is it still getiing power? The Tan (yellow) fuse in the connector, was that one of the ones that came with the origina; package of connectors?

PS - sorry for all the hassle. I really appreciate you giving me this crash course in Auto electronics. ✔‍♂️

Im at work . I will have to take a pic later. To describe -I have exactly the same set up as you in the same spot on the fuse box, the only thing different is that there is no fuse in the front slot closect to the camera. where on your set up you have a tan(yellow) fuse.

Maybe that is why the green light is blinking?
ACTUALLY....
maybe this is related to your DBL issue.
I looked deeper and found that - if you used the fuse I did. that fuse is for "MODULE 4"

and MODULE 4 - is

AFS stands for: Adaptive Front-Lighting System (AFS)
It sounds like you removed power from the AFS. PUT THAT FUSE BACK IN.
You need 2 fuses in the fuse tap. The original 1 for the original circuit + the new fuse for the added circuit (Mando ECS10).

Mystery solved. I will add a the fuse for the Mando. The only thing is that the MANDO shows "Connected" in the APP. Is it possible to still pick up the bluetooth without the proper fuse in the slot for the ECS10?
...and does this mean the MANDO is not doing what it is supposed to do to the suspension. If I am being honest. I have not noticed much difference.? - E
