Yep, I did that as soon as I got the notice in my mail box. The problem in the video was present from before the recall and I hoped taking the car for the wiring harness would fix it but I was wrong.Hmm, did your car have the wiring harness recall performed? What model year.
Put that in your profile info. We like to see where each other comes from.Somebody asked about my location - I live in Goodyear, Arizona.
Reasonable response. "Wait and see". What else can KIA do? Slap your car around hoping it will manifest something that they can work on?KIA sent a "Field Tech" to inspect the car. However he was unable to replicate the issue. Thus they asked me to take the car back. They said they can't fix something they cannot replicate, I paid for the car so it's mine and I should take it back as is.
I do agree with you to an extend. I will just say this - no the car hasn't stopped having this issue to my knowledge. The problem is intermittent so I cannot summon it at my will. I just got it back last evening so I haven't driven it much. I will try to get my money back and move away from KIA.Reasonable response. "Wait and see". What else can KIA do? Slap your car around hoping it will manifest something that they can work on?
You are righteously pissed off. No question about that. However, if KIA can't replicate this, does it only happen when YOU get around it? Or has it stopped doing what you described?
If it still does this at home, then demand to have another session with the KIA rep: with you there watching what they do; with you demonstrating the issue. Get that session on video.
(Imho, on the rental ride thing: that is being petty: yes, we'd all like to drive a Stinger while ours is in the shop.)
Through the usb port that is available.Humm, looking at video in 1st post, dinging dash cam, how is that wired into the system?
I had a similar problem with my 2014 Kia Forte-- The car wouldn't start unless I opened and closed the driver's door. As it turns out, it was a loose positive battery cable! I tightened it up, and no more problems! I'm not saying this is the same issue, just a possibility.Have you checked if the battery cables are properly attached and tightened?
