So 1.5bar on 91 octane will have same “peak” boost as 1.5bar 93 octane. But the boost curve will be dramatically different. So at higher RPMs it will have less boost and therefore pull less timing. Also on 91octane he doesn’t have the ECU as far advanced with the timing. It’s a little more conservative.it seems crazy to me that you could have a 1.5 bar tune for 91 octane. 22 lbs of boost is 22 lbs of boost right? wouldn't the car just pull timing based on the low octane? what else can Lozic do to make the car run well on 91 octane at 22 lbs of boost? Asking so I can learn more about it, not trying to say it isn't possible or anything...
With 91 octane on Jb4 only I was able to get 21-22 psi peak with a nice taper and very little timing corrections. Hopefully that makes sense.
