Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

Seriously!!! I already swapped back. I had to leave in my car. So when I do it again- let it sit for a bit? Or try to start it?
Haha yes. Mine did the same. Said key fob not detected or something at first. Waited a minute or so and 2nd or 3rd attempt starting up the car, worked fine.

We live and learn. I should not of panicked- oh well. I’ll try again tomorrow. Fun fact I use to get 15psi in map0. I now only get 13 after taking out and putting back in ECU

How many miles is on your Stinger? Have you checked or had someone check the transmission fluid level? Mine was 1/2 qt low at 36K. Shifting was faster and smoother once I had the correct fluid level.

I guess I should check. I had an aftermarket trans cooler installed, but this happened before that, as I recall.. Unfortunately, IIRC, we don't actually have a dipstick. I guess I should talk to my mechanic..

You were correct…. So, I couldn’t wait and re installed it and gave it time and it started. All is working fine. I drove around a little and played with it. Wow talk about different- boost ready always on is probably not my cup of tea (maybe because I don’t have exhaust) but dang turbo and blow off is way too loud and a little unnecessary to me. I’ll keep testing. If I had to chose right now I would turn it off. Or do it at 3k rpm. After a good drive and warm up I let her rip just in comfort mode and she was peaking 19 psi just in comfort! (1.2 bar.) I Never went to the sport to try it yet. Not going to lie I was nervous. I know I completely blow up this forum- I’ll see how it goes tomorrow.

ECU just showed up today (with plugs.) Dang that was fast!!! I can’t put the new plugs in until
Thursday.. but I have no patience and want to do the ECU now! (Denso plugs currently.) someone talk me out of it
Your car misfiring should talk you out of it.

Trust me, don't put the ecu in until you change the plugs. I made the mistake of running the ecu on the stock plugs and boy oh boy did they not like it. misfires anything over 3k, when I changed them out, I had cracked a stock plug because of it.

Edit - before any of the obligatory "WhY wOuLd YoU dO tHaT???" comments, I had assumed that the dealer re-used my HKS plugs at first. I was wrong.

Do you guys get use to the boost ready? Constant blow off at low rpm is just too much I think. Something about it just feels too un natural. I think I’m going to have it turned off or do the 3,000rpm (so at least there on a roll race). Advice is welcome here! I just took it on a nice long drive thinking it would grow on me and it didn’t..The tune runs strong on the aftermarket denso plugs just an FYI. I’m still changing to HKS soon.

it takes a bit to get used to, But now that I've driven around with the new version of boost ready, and having it set to 2200RPM activation, I think its a good compromise, in typical city driving I don't go above 2kish anyway as the car is pretty damn torque-y in the low RPMS so getting off the lines at lights is super easy without needing to step on the throttle at all really.

Unlike the first iteration of boost ready, I really like how it is right now.

Didn't think you'd have an issue with the Densos! The HKS should give you more longevity though so they're certainty worth the swap.

I think I’m going to do 2,200 at the earliest. Always on is too much for me. But trial and error

How is it different from "non-boost ready"? What's the main effect?

Has anyone else noticed this.. with new ECU the cruise control works- but it will not show me the MPH that it’s currently set on like it use to. Is this just me or others as well?

The boost is called on much more aggressively, driven by pedal input. For example, without it, you may need over 70% throttle to get the car to start trying to reach full boost, with boost ready, you may only need 40% throttle. it decreases the amount of time that it takes to spool the car. Now, I just made up those numbers off the top of my head as I don't know what parameters lozic specifically changes, but I do know that if I put my foot to the floor, the boost builds much, much faster.

Mine still shows just fine, but I have a GT2 with the larger screen. not sure if you do.

Mine is just the GT and it just show the - - - where mph use to be.

and when it does that, cruise control is 100% engaged correct? I would take a video of it while its working like that, then switch back to your OEM ecu and see if it does it. if it works normally on the OEM ECU, let lozic know whats going on and show him the video.

Will do! It works fine. Just annoying I can’t see what it is. Factory ECU it works fine.

Let lozic know then and see what he says, he may have created a bug without realizing it.
