Yes, I love the way it shifts, but like you said it feels a lot like your M5. It is not a M5 and the trans of our Stinger is not made thinking of a M5. I'm just a little worried it won't last long, especially the way I drive.
yes but I'm getting ready for a two day event at VIR and I'm figuring I'm going to destroy the tires, so hoping for something a bit cheaper but still good for the track. Could even be raining, who knows. After this set, I'm thinking PS4S. Unless I get the track bug, in which case I'll stay with something cheaper and just figure on replacing them every 18 months or so.
Edit, I only drive the car about 3.5k miles a year.
I'm a novice and will have an instructor for at least some of it. I'm gonna work it but want to make sure the car makes it out in one piece for sure. Going to VIR. The only other time I've been to VIR I spent some time riding in a G70 and the brakes took the most abuse for sure. I really didn't pay too much attention to the tires as it wasn't my car. I noticed some serious wear around the edges though. How hard are you at the track? I did an HPDE1 (novice) where I thought I pushed the car somewhat - obviously not to the level of some of the other guys, but still, I wasn't the slowest one - and my PS4s (18" on Enkeis) picked up some track gummies, but overall, don't seem to have worn too much. Did way more damage to my OEM PS4s with that (*&@#$ drift circle I did at the auto-x school. Tore patches off 3 of the 4 tires.
I think based on the math that should be the sweet spotI ordered the same
I am running Nitto 555s. Not the best in the rain. PS4's would be better.Hey Avant, quick question, what tires are you running? you like them? are the decent in the rain? or dangerous in the rain? I need some new ones and looking for something that's decent on a track but that I can reasonably drive on the street too. the tread looks aggressive.
Good to know. What did you notice once it adapted?@Avant - You will find the TCU adapts over time and continue to improve, so watch out for that and let us know what you think.
It's kind of funny - when I got a re-drilled valve body for my Legacy GT, they claimed more clamping force (higher line pressure) would make life EASIER on the transmission, due to less heat / friction because the clutch disks would spend less time slipping / heating up due to the harder shifts. Now I'm hearing the opposite about this mod. Or is this stressing different components?

Hmm, 1.5bar ain't bad then! I've read that some people are talking about some sheet? picking out what you want I guess. would anyone have one just to see what exactly I can add or change? id want an ECU and tcu highkey.... want to leave some people in the dust.Well 1.5 bar is the same as 21.75 psi tune. I have no doubt that running anything harder then what was designed from the factory will reduce its life expectancy. But just like anything if your not out going WOT everywhere you go and run the proper octane and do good matinence it really shouldn't be that much of an issue.
man f*ck that cat lol... I definitely want that!!! would I only be able to choose pops and bangs with flames? or is it pick one or the other type of thing? We’ll if you want loud bangs/flames you’ll need to be catless all the way through the exhaust. I saw a video on YouTube where the owner claimed he blew his high-flow cats and turbo seals within a few weeks with the tune he had..(which was a different company) but it’s still the same concept behind creating pops/bangs.
No one with the lozic tune has had this issue but not many people in this thread are running loud bangs on their tune, some are running soft pops though. The 3.3t engine is stout and has shown the capability to handle ~500whp range. The issues I’ve read with tuned stingers are the turbo failures/ turbo seal failures causing a loss of oil which ultimately will ruin the engine.

I think that it is the ECU that adapts to new TCU settings. TCU ask ECU for values to shift like rpm, torque, ignition, speed and when its fullfilled TCU will shift for us.
I APPRECIATE IT! thank youIt won't allow to upload here.. You have to contact him for an order sheet lozic_powered@naver.com
Yeah, that makes more sense and thanks for calling that out. It's good to be accurate. I would actually like to know more about this. Do you have more in-depth details?
