I was excited they responded to my email quick this morning and I wanted to order today. Then I got the same response today about non PayPal and bank wire. I too am hesitant about the bank wire.

I'd prefer to get more data on JB4 without mods or only intakes. That's the real gap in data and I think FBO isn't as popular overall. Lots of lurkers in here just trying to decide how to OEM+ their cars. Difference between them and I is maybe I'm more outspoken, or just willing to accumulate data
I updated the spreadsheet above with sorting by car setup. Still not sorting by car, tire or track/street, as those who go all out on setup tend to be on the track. Chart below, separating into groups by mod (hardware setup, ECU and TCU tune) (also in the link)

I wish I still had JMP on my work PC or I'd be able to do much better statistical analysis, R^2, std deviation, etc. As-is, I think the takeaway is still that the ECU tune alone is as fast as FBO JB4 on pump gas.
Systems Architect for a consumer durable goods manufacturerI'm just curious and of course you don't have to answer if you don't want, but what is your profession?
No PayPal? Forget it. I’m definitely waiting till they get that up and running. Not down with wire transfers.I just got a response to pay for my order. They aren’t using PayPal now? And want a wire transfer. No idea how to do that with my current bank to international..
Well, I just decided on the ECU only route. Got my form filled and sending it to him, but I won't buy without Paypal+protection. Willing to pay for the protection, too, if necessary.
Hope he gets PayPal figured out otherwise I count at least $5k here we won't be getting at a minimum
Yeah, there's a lot to love about JB4. Flexibility, logging, support and especially cost.If you have nothing right now, and decent gas, probably the best bang-for-buck. For those of us who already have jb4, it's $2k for SOME improvement, but it's still questionable (from what I've seen) if plain CA91 will work with anything but a VERY mild tune. I often do E30, but I can't always do that, and we take the ar on road trips, etc. So I like the flexibility of shifting between map0-3 from the windshield wiper control. Especially when doing HPDE, etc.
Still interested in TCU, though - once paypal works again.

On the ECU tune, the capabilities for ECU functionality, specifically, are better - for example bubbles and pops, removing torque limits, tune-by-mode, timing (though it's not used), etc.
If I weren't so focused on 0-60, or if I were starting brownfield, my calculus would have been different. But given that out here in the Midwest I am a stoplight queen and I have nothing done to the car I think I get my money's worth with the ECU only.
Nope, that hyper launch lap3 tcu tune looking pretty good right about nowJust seeing if anyone has gotten any type of response? I sent the email yesterday to him about several people were not going to do it unless PayPal was an option and haven't gotten a response. I will post if/when I get one.
I’ll have to research that one more. But agreed, no PayPal, no deal. Especially from another country.Nope, that hyper launch lap3 tcu tune looking pretty good right about now
Weird.Gents update he just sent me a paypal thing to make my payment. But now that just seems off as to why he couldn't and then all of a sudden it works and no reason given? Not sure now might still wait
PayPal update:
Lozic told me it was because the payments we make in Paypal are made in USD but he is unable to withdraw in USD. He wants the USD for future US business. Anyways, he said he doesn't want customers to be unhappy, so he is accepting Paypal again and will figure it out a different way.
Bottom line. Lozic is 100% trustworthy, so don't worry about that. I was the first person in North America to take the risk and get his ECU and he's been great to me and everyone else. I sent my ECU back for revisions and he was very responsive to what I wanted!
I'm running 1.3Bar for 91 octane and TCU pressure 2. It's perfect for my needs.
