Hi guys,

I have had a knocking from the rear passenger side of the Stinger. I took it back to the dealers who told me that they had an update from KIA in regards to this matter. New part ordered and installed. The knocking stopped for a week but is now back. Anyone else getting this problem?

I have the same problem, it's not the hatch rattle problem.
The sound is something knocking under the chassis at low speed and soft bumby road.
Same sound like a defect shock suspension.
It's very annoying, all of my friends car have very quiet suspension compare to my Stinger GT.

maybe a loose panel , have a look to see if any pins are missing or if a panel is hanging lower ??

Did you ever get to the bottom of this? Sounds like what I have, like a plastic panel cover knocking under the car. Only seems to happen at low speeds on very bumpy roads or when taking a turn into a side road. I've looked under the car and can't tell that any panels are loose.

It wouldn't be the exhausting banging would it?

I know this isn't really that helpful but have you not been feeding the hostage you're keeping back there often enough?

Be kind to the hostage he maybe stuffering from "Stockholm syndrome".

But not very good. At least with my efforts.:(
Search (Find) sucks. Yes, "it works", but inconsistently and without logic. Upper case matters, except when it interferes. The same search words turn up no results the next time you use them. At least for me.

Has anyone else had this issue or got a fix?
Mine started about 4 weeks ago very annoying.

If it's hatch rattle it should have been automatically checked at your cars first service. It is a warranty issue.

Definitely not a hatch rattle sound coming from the bottom of the car. They changed the diff oil at the 40k service apparently one other GT had the same issue and that fixed it. But the sound is still there....

So at the last service 40k the diff oil got replaced (2 weeks ago) apparently one other GT had the same issue with the banging at this fixed it. I drove the car out and the banging was worse and the car felt like it had lost the grunt, thought maybe there was a engine mapping update done. 3-4 days later still sluggish and took the car back to the dealer apparently the 2 of the 4 diff mount bolts and sheared off and now waiting for a diff expert to come in and assess it before sending the report to Kia to provide a fix. Anyone else of of this before?

No! How could you even drive around for days with half the bolts missing?!

Boy that sounds bad, I'd want an ironclad guarantee that there's going to be a quick permanent fix. Your time is money.

Still no progress, i have the exact same problem. No need bumpy road to hear that soft knocking sound. It is more evident at low speed.
The mech told me he cannot really hear it, he feel that something is slightly bizzare but until he cannot be sure what cause this he don't want to change parts blindly. He told me wait until this problem is more evident.
