Installed part# 81738J5010QQK two weeks ago and can confirm that my hatch rattle is now fixed.

Finally able to enjoy the car again without cranking the stereo.

I was literally at the Dealer today and was told they had no TSB or fix for this and acted as if they never heard of this?
I just spoke with a service advisor at Kia and he also owns a Stinger and there is no TSB as of now but he is having the same issue when it got colder. As of now at the Dealers anyway there is no Warranty fix yet but he did say its gonna come at some point as he has not only had his car doing it but has had many come in for same issue.

SA322 was released in 2017, it just failed to deliver satisfactory results. I'm sure your '21 already has the "fix" in place. These dealership people must be newer, or have short memories. I complain about the thunk every time I go in for service, even though I know they won't fix it, but it gives me some satisfaction that Kia might get billed by the dealer for at least a brief warranty inspection interval.

Well the fix ain't fixed, now with that said, I have a loud knock not a rattle, didn't happen until winter cold, I made a small adjustment to the stops and it did lessen a bit, I only did a quarter turn, I'll do it again and see what happens.

When I fixed the hatch rattle on my 2022,I also adjusted the over slam bumpers to 1 inch (25 mm) or so. I was shocked at how easy they turned by hand so I used an appropriate sized zip tie between the bolt head and the rubber sleeve So that the bolts cannot turn by themselves. So far, no more rattle, and that is in a Canadian (Ottawa) winter.

I have mine adjusted as well, but if they're too far out they can create gaps/wind noise between the hatch and car, dig into the paint they contact, as well as make closing the hatch less casual (ie - need more force). There's definitely a sweet spot where this seems to help with the rattle, but I think the bump stop fix is still the greatest single point for elimination.

The fact this is still an issue on 2022 models is laughable. Kia just isn't looking to refine things over time, just get the cars out there and let us worry about those loose ends.

When I was buying mine, one of the cars test drove exhibited a strange buffeting noise at 55mph+. Similar to the air pressure difference you feel when driving at similar speeds with the windows open, except they were all closed.

Wonder if the rear hatch was improperly adjusted, causing this sensation.

Does anyone have pictures or a video on how to make this adjustment? I just got a 2022 Stinger GT1, and the rattle is driving me insane. They have "fixed" it twice, and it keeps coming back. Thanks

Thanks! I tried the tape, it helped some but I can still hear it more than I would like....especially on a $51K car that is three months old! I am getting the washers tomorrow.

Here’s a photo of what I did with the over slam bumpers. This is in addition to the washer/gasket kit from Kia. Yiou can see where I added the zip tie to keep the bolt at 1 inch.
