Kia Stinger GTS

That said, the orange is gorgeous. I'd love that too. I just need to grow up first (mid-50's and climbing..)
Lol. I was pointing out the fine appearance of a Camaro or similar muscle car, sporting very attractive orange, and my wife said "NO, that's a kid's car color." If/when I get my Stinger wrapped in Federation Orange, I probably won't hear the end of it.

I'll buy a pretty colored car when my childish driving habits are all done.

Might be a few more years.

That said, my daughter has an orange Challenger (over 5 years now). I've put a few thousand miles on it as well. I'm astounded we don't have a bunch of violations.

Lol. That's quite the misplaced rant.

The point of my post was that it's cheaper to spend $4k on an orange wrap than to trade his car in and eat the $10-20k difference in value between his trade and the GTS's sale price.

GTS will have a MSRP in the $53k range, I'm assuming? And an early example will have little to no negotiating room.

A 2018 GT2 with $10k miles has a trade in value of $36k (according to KBB). Probably around $40k for a 2019 (no information available on them yet).

That's a $17k difference! That's a lot of mod money.
At chicagoland, they're are paying 33k for my Ceramic GT2 :(

How do we know what effect this color will have on the value of this car on the used market? Speculative at best.

No one speculated the value of a used GTS or anything else about a cars color vs value.

I am referring to the wrap vs. buying the Orange GTS. In days past I would have agreed but these wilder colors seem to be popular now. Questions is how will they age?

The reason I said to wrap it instead of buying a new car is because of the money that would be lost from the poor trade in value of a used Stinger. But he said he would make money if he traded in his car so my point was moot.

Yes it’s all speculation but typically rarer color combos will help increase resale values.

I haven’t tried selling mine, but everyone that sees the White Nappa leather is shocked and says “wow I didn’t even know they made Stingers with anything but black or red interior. Beautiful!”

Who knows if it will be a collectors item later since it was a very limited run and is unavailable now. I hope so.;):D

Yep that interior is certainly pretty!

I tried to order pre-release, it wasn't available on any spec down here:(.

 Im sorry to hear that and am worried about that myself. If they dont bring back the White Nappa leather by 2021MY I may have to look elsewhere...

once the 800 units are spoken for then it will be taken off.
Just like the yellow did.

That's news to me. I thought that 400 Sunset Yellow Stingers were delivered to the shores of the US. And less than half of them sold by the time of the paint fubar recall.

You can now build a GTS on the Kia site.

I'm not particularly interested in the GTS, but I hopped on the site and checked it out. It looks like it won't have a bunch of features available on the GT2, like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, surround view monitor, heads up display, etc.

Part of me hopes it's a mistake because those are great features, and part of me doesn't because there's no way I would "upgrade" without them.

Oh, but it does have a sunroof.

So weird.

Not available on the Kia Canada site yet. Like the yeliow ones, maybe we don't get it up here.

And we get none down here, I'm sure they'd sell unlike the "Rafa" model.

KIA's website builder shows the traditional shifter, no AC seats, and no HUD.

I hope they just copied the GT1 interior over on the website. That will be a massive let down if the US market get's skimped on again. I probably would not buy it if the above is true.

That being said, it's inbound to the dealer. I'll probably put a deposit on the car until I sort out my mind
