I have the Jun BL midpipes on the way at the moment. Should get them this week so I can take some pics and weigh in on this topic soon

Sounded like an M5?Well look what I got today.....

Was supposed to do something responsible today but when this showed up
First, lets get the exhaust porn pics out of the way.

Now, I don't know if this has been said by anyone else before, but here's why I decided to get this.
1. The OEM MID Section starts at a respectable size

and narrows down towards the rear

My Bi-Modal mufflers are 2.5" ( 63MM ) so the difference was noticeable.

But now.....

And here's a couple of pics for comparison's sake...

At first start, it sounded like an M5 but I'll let it carbon up and settle down then I'll do some vids.
Easy to install but not as straight forward as I thought it would be. Also, new bolts and nuts are required to replace the studs / nuts in the rear.
Once the car was up and I had tools in hand, 30 mins and that was taking my time.

The Section labeled Mid pipes in the photo do not have any catalytic converters. Secondary downpipes or primaries do in fact have cats (catalytic converters) but there is no o2 sensors there so you probably will still pass smog with them removed. I passed mine. However a cat back like he has will for sure not throw an error for smog. Don't know if they will do a sound check thoughJust trying to get information so I understand. Is this the order it goes. Down pipes then mid pipes (do they have the catalytic converters?) then the exhaust. Is that the sequence it goes? I also just want to make sure it will pass emissions testing. Thanks.
Also I have a 2022 GT2 with variable exhaust. I don’t want to loose that. Anyone know if any exhaust manufacturers have the variable exhaust feature available? I may need to what awhile until it’s addressed. Unless they have already.
I'm going to start with the JUN B.L downpipes (to prevent cat theft) and go from there. Next step will probably be a full JUN B.L catback with the electronic control, but I'll have options to mix and match as well.
I wonder if there's a way to retrofit the Aussie-designed bi-modal onto a 2022?Correct.
And something possibly worth mentioning, is that I have the 2020 Stinger with the Bi-Modal axle back option which is 100% better than the 2021 onwards Bi-Modal for flow and sound. So, if you have a 2021 onwards, I'd suggest a complete cat-back system ( of your choice ) because with just a midpipe, "results may vary".
My 2020.

2021 onwards.

For me, this has been one of the best mods I've done ! So happy !
I would be almost certain the answer is yes.I wonder if there's a way to retrofit the Aussie-designed bi-modal onto a 2022?
That's promising, although it's dawned on me that the exhaust tips won't line up with the holes in the diffuser.I would be almost certain the answer is yes.
If the plug to the actuator is the same it'd be a straight swap but otherwise, a quick wiring change and voila !

I'll see how much I like the bi-modal in my 2022 when I take delivery, maybe the volume will be enough for me.![]()

The bi-modal exhaust for pre-facelift vehicles was developed by KIA Australia and was only available in Australia. It is louder when the engine is in Sport mode and quieter when in Comfort mode.Would you please elaborate on the bi-modal exhaust? I've seen videos (particularly Aussie reviews) of it and it sounds nice, but I'm wondering a few things:
- Why is it called "bi-modal"? Does it have an EVC-type switch where you can go loud/soft?
- Was this a KIA factory option?
- Was it offered in other locations?
