When I first called to get my car into service I was told they didn't have time until 3 weeks later. The car wasn't safe and I wasn't going to drive it. They said I could drop it off and they would try to get to it, I asked so are you going to give me a loaner and I was told no. Yea right, wrong answer. I had to call the new car sales manager to be able to get my car in that night with a loaner.I seriously doubt that KIA had to ship the fuel pumps by ground all of the way from California to Florida.
Someone, either KIA or your dealer, was trying to save a few bucks while forcing you to wait several extra days to get your Stinger fixed. That's simply short-sighted, idiotic BS!!!
This is another example of how KIA and its dealers need to start doing a better job of serving their Stinger customers.
He said the high pressure fuel pumps can't go on an airplane, fire risk. Ok fine but don't offer to give me my car back all washed and gassed up until the parts come in unless you are willing to accept liability if something happens. Which they kept pressuring me to do and I refused. Apparently if your car is in service for so long the lemon law takes effect and that is why they wanted me to keep taking it even though they knew something wasn't right. Love love love my car (very first new car I have ever bought for myself) but honestly at the urging of my honey I have actually started researching Alpha Romero's. This is the exact reason why I chose to lease and not buy out right, to many unknowns. And I don't even feel bad about returning the dealers loaner (Kia forte) without filling it up with gas. I was paying for a 42 thousand plus car and driving a 16 thousand dollar car. So was not happy.
