I thought I'd escaped, I got my recall letter today. My car hasn't shown any of the signs they say to look for. Maybe get an appointment Friday, go for a walk etc. Don

Lots of Stingers out there with high mileage. I wonder how many Stingers caught on fire because of the part.

I'm pretty sure that number is actually zero, but the possibility does exist.

Where? I’ve only seen one high mileage Stinger GT (ignoring 2.0/2.5’s) @ like ~120k

They seem reliable but 150k+ is still a mystery.

Got mine today. Didn't show up on NHTSA until now. Bummer. I'm in a smaller town (50k or so) so I am going to drop in some time to see if they've done any yet. I know there are at least 2 other stingers in town. Mine is an OG 2018 GT2 AWD. will be watching this thread or another if one gets created with experiences of the work. Or, if they get an EV6 GT in trade it haha.. jk.

So the recall kit has a new oil pipe, upper rad hose and oil gauge pipe (Dip stick pipe) and they replace the coolant but only add oil to top it up.....
you would think they would do a full oil change....and hopefully it come with a new dip stick as well. Seems pretty straight forward, I'm glad the engine removal isn't necessary.
I think I'm gonna insist on a full oil change even if I have to pay a little extra.

I would expect you to have to pay a little extra for an oil change. They aren't giving anything for free... Stingy bastards.

Interestingly, the coolant listed on the recall is UM020 CH263, which the internet tells me is

Pink Coolant Antifre - Kia (UM020-CH263)

My car came with green coloured coolant in 2018.
Green + pink = brown!...

I got green in the G90.. either way im about due for a coolant change at 89k probably some radiator hoses too.. are they pulling the radiator? or just the top hose for access.. i'd buy a lower just so they could put it on while they are there so I dont have todo it later

They are not pulling the radiator, they are just draining it and removing+replacing the upper rad hose.

Remove the upper radiator hose (S).
Note: DO NOT reuse the upper radiator hose.

After seeing the steps involved, I can confidently say that I would rather do this than put my rear sway bar in again. Only concerns of mine are that the washers are reused, bolts not being reinstalled or the coolant refill being forgotten.

I wonder if my Kia or Hyundai dealer would do it on my G90, next dealer is 1 1/2 hours away... (the car was bought from the Hyundai dealer but they won't service it anymore)
