Hey guys,

Posted some updated firmware to the n54tech thread for everyone to play with.

Changes:

1) Revised boost by gear logic for improved traction on RWD vehicles. You can now set gears below the factory boost levels if needed. For each gear enter the amount of boost reduction you want. For example, 8.0psi would reduce boost by 8psi in 1st gear. In our development non-LSD GT we've been testing 8psi in 1st and 2psi in 2nd with good success.
2) Added progressive water/meth map map8. Requires WMI integration using a BMS FSB to run the pump & solenoid. Once installed WMI is enabled when map8 is selected and the JB4 progressively controls WMI and boost targets as a function of WMI flow. The only safe way to run WMI.
3) Adjusted map7 to match map5 but hold boost stronger to redline for heavily modified cars.
4) Added logic for IAT remapping which provides direct ignition timing control. Requires you to add a wire within the JB4 harness itself. Will post more on this as we further evaluate it.

v5 map guide:

Map 0: JB4 disabled
Map 1: 4psi over stock peak tapering to 2.5psi at high RPM. Default performance map suitable for all 91+ octane fuels.
Map 2: 5psi over stock tapering to 4psi at high RPM. Suggested for 93+ octane fuel.
Map 3: 6psi stock tapering to 5psi at high RPM. Suggested for high quality fuel including unleaded race gas, ethanol mixtures up to 30%, or high quality octane booster like Torco or Boostane.
Map 4: Valet map, runs around half as much boost as stock.
Map 5: Up to 7psi over stock. For use with unleaded race fuel and/or E85 mixtures up to 30%.
Map 6: User adjustable map. Enter value of boost over stock by RPM on user adjustment page.
Map 7: Up to 7psi over stock but without top end taper. For unleaded race fuel and/or E85 mixtures, and bolt on modification.
Map 8: Progressive WMI (water/meth) map. Increases boost as a function of methanol flow & methanol boost additive. Holds boost low until WMI is flowing to avoid tip-in knock, and reduces boost as a function of WMI flow in the event of interruption like running out of fluid, leak, or component failure.

Also, quick log of the new boost by gear logic in action. You'll notice how boost during launch mode is actually around 2psi less than stock to avoid wheel spin and then it ramps up as we go. Run was a 12.4@115 on map3. :)

Awesome news terry. BMS product development and customer service FTW again.

How are the intakes coming along? Just waiting on you so I can get them added to my car :). Ideally id like to keep mine up with your shop car.

@Terry@BMS You need to please work at removing or increasing the top speed limit....also on torque limiters?? you working on this on the future.??

The JB4 is capable of removing the speed limiter by clamping the vehicle speed reading at the ECU, but we don't yet know whether that is safe for the platform as it may interfere with stability control/ABS at high speed. Which would be a really bad idea. We'll look in to it.

Not come across any torque limiters. Sounds like a flash tuning problem not a JB4 problem. :)

Terry, what about an O2 sim option for going catless on the primary DP? I think with your TMAP logic that you've instituted to prevent the turbine overspeed/overboost codes we should be fine on that front, but we might still get cat inefficiency codes with no cats. I presume we could easily spoof a functional voltage range to the secondary O2 Sensor easily with JB4?

Illegal in the USA. For those outside the USA, the "passive delete" option is available on the WMI page to purge nuisance codes.

That's a good feature to know about! Do you think the TMAP scaling you've done should prevent the overboost codes reported by early DP testing?

Not familiar with anyone currently having codes with dps or for any other reason. If you do email me and we'll help you sort it, though!

There haven't been cat less primary DP available. Only secondary. I have secondary deletes on not with no codes, but have ordered catless primary pipes. I guess we'll see when I install
