Is the black wheel fad waning?

Gunmetal. Design more evident.

I say go black BUT the gloss is a tad too BLING and will show the dirt much more , I like a satin finish better ................

Ive been going back and forth for well over a year now (I've only owned the car since January) between black and gunmetal. I'm leaning toward gloss piano black

The gloss piano black will be a bitch to maintain. If you like cleaning your wheels every couple day’s then they’re for you! I also find that with black wheels you have to keep your tires clean and black. The brown tire, black wheel combo looks bad.

white and black wheels go together very nicely. is your roof wrapped black? i think every white stinger should get it done.

Black wheels hide the design of the wheel. You have to be just about up on the car to see the design. Not my cup of tea
good point

Sorry late to game. I seriously considering powder coating my factory wheels gloss back and paint the factory center to match. nhcowboy28, noticed that your wheels don't have factory center caps but have K logo cap that covers the hole. What was your secret?
I had the original 5 spoke lug covers painted black with the k logo. I just think the lug cover looks cheesy. They look better to me without. Obviously I had to improvise the center cap and this used the 18” covers but put the key overlay on it.

Yup not a fan of the starfish covers. Looked online and saw that you get just the round center caps. Thanks for info.

I bought a set of black wheels and paired with my thunder grey, I'm not really loving the combo. I'm regretting the purchase and I actually prefer the look of the machine face of the stock wheels. I think whenever I get around to getting a new set of wheels, I'll be considering more gunmetal/machine faced wheels instead.

Late to the thread here (haven't been on the forum much lately), but as some have said - it's personal preference. I have 'the best of both worlds' - a set of winter Michelin IceX with cheaper painted black wheels for my "winter wardrobe". I really like the look of the black on my car (pic), but when I put those nice OEM rims back on in the spring, I think - 'dang, that looks nice'.winprof2.webp

I don't really like the star center cap either and I'm looking to replace them with regular center cap. Any other regular Kia center cap can fit there ? I'm not really sure what I should order.

Appears the center caps made for the ugly 18 in wheels that come on the 2.0 stingers fit. Not sure what size they are but if you search kia stinger factory 18in wheel center cap, you will see it. In fact, Sal's who runs this forum and kiastingerdotcom store has them with pictures on 19in Y spoke GT wheel.

Take the wheel off & pop it out from the back.

Hope the fad isn’t waning...... just ordered matte black wheels. 19x9+32 square, so I could rotate and get more than 10k outta the rears
