Is the black wheel fad waning?

Never was a fan of black wheels. Gun metal, no problem. Black wheels hide the design of the wheel. You have to be just about up on the car to see the design. Not my cup of tea

I usually prefer a contrast against the tire, but yours do look great. Might be partly the more open design and super low profile tires.

Same here. I'm all about the contrast.

I started my search with “I definitely don’t want black”. Then went from black chrome to liquid silver to titanium gray then...

Black against ceramic silver is spectacular. I love it!

I don't think black wheels are a fad, just a personal preference. I bought some black wheels for my winter tires and damn do I like the look of them. It's causing me a crisis because they're not offset like the stock tires so I can't switch the tires out, and I really prefer this look to the stock wheels now.

Powder coat the OE wheels and the dilemma goes away. :D

I could care less about the fads. I never had black wheels and always thought it looked nice when there was contrast. So I'm in the market for black wheels. I already know that I want to keep the OEM wheel/tire specs. My big dilemma is finding a design and brand. There are just too many nice wheels out there.

I like black wheels, I just don't like the way they look with the ceramic silver color for some reason. That is part of the reason I haven't gotten any aftermarket wheels up til now. I love the ceramic silver color, but I haven't found a wheel color that complements it well. Don't get me wrong, some of the black wheels that I've seen look good (the stock wheel painted black and some of the gloss tinted wheels), but it is hit or miss. I saw a ceramic silver Stinger with a brushed bronze wheel that looked pretty sweet, but it may be "too much".

I guess it’s a personal opinion, I love the way mine looks with it (does look red/purple in the right light).
