This seems to be a Stinger thing. do other keyless entry cars do this? every time I have tried to open the passenger side doors with the car running it refuses me and I have to walk around to the drivers door and manually push the unlock button to unlock the passenger doors.

You need to unlock all the doors before you start it once atarted the doors dont work keyless with the key inside the car and they never open without mw pushing a button to begin with

When I get out after starting I have the fob with me I just need to remember to open all the doors before getting out but almost never do, not that this happens all that often , but each time it does I have to walk around to the drivers side open the door and unlock everything manually.

On the 22's + with the factory remote start, you need to press the lock button (twice?) before pressing and holding the remote start button. I'll have to see if I can get in from the pass side next time I remote start. Remote start is not a feature I use often (or at all).

I got another thing probably already been said but if you turn off the car and don't open the driver door the accessory power stays on

It will stay on for about a minute until it times out. This is nice compared to old cars so you can finish closing the windows/sunroof or listen to the end of the song on the radio or whatever.

I suppose it's a keyless ignition thing. With a key you could shut off the engine but still keep power. Same thing here.

My only beef with the delayed off is that my ‘06 Mustang had a 15 minute delay off. The stinger turns off too soon

I figure 1 minute is enough time to push to power button if you want more.

I would love remote for the cold days I have the car parked outside. I had it for a bit with the app thru my phone but that didn’t last long for some reason. I should look into that again

Mine only stays on for a few minutes, maybe 4-5 ish.

I personaly dont want my battery draining and i have never tested how long it stayed on because . Parked outside. I wanna turn it off and go in lol

My previous VW would keep the radio on for up to an hour as long as the door wasn't opened, but the windows and sunroof delay was much shorter

My rear camera seems to catch a lot of water droplets that don't want to come off while driving, so backing into a spot/or garage tends to be garbled.

try hitting it with some sort of hydrophobic sealant (i use ceramic/graphene spray wax) - it will repel the water. i use it on the whole car, and drying it with a cordless blower is easy - the water just flies off the car.

Not to be argumentative, but I think we want the OPPOSITE of a hydrophobic coating on the rear camera...

Hydrophobic coatings work on a windshield where wind speed can clear the water off the windshield

In the rear camera, it will stay cleaner MUCH longer with a hydrophilic coating so the water can sheet off rather than bead up and cause the optical distortion through the lens..

Side mirrors too, like in this YouTube, are better treated with the opposite of hydrophobic

Any Anti fog treatment will be hydrophilic... Allows water to sheet, like jet dry from a dishwasher.

I've sat in my car for over 45mins in ON mode with engine/climate off many times. No problems, she turns right over.

Good to know, thx. Since my episode in the Passat I’ve been a bit timid with listening to music with the Stinger off. I seem to be waiting for the wife for 5-10 minutes a shot so I’ll be brave and give it a try.

I tried hitting it with RainX, it worked about as well a Daihatsu Charade missing a sparkplug. It seems us Stingers are not the only ones with the problem.

When I did the firmware update after I got her, I went about ~20mins and she turned right over. I probably wouldn't have chanced much more, but it's good to know that I could push it if necessary.
