I bought two My23 Stinger GTs which is the top spec. One Deep Chroma Blue the other Hichroma Red. Identical cars except colour.

Both have black Nappa Leather. I noticed yesterday that the Blue has Black locking pins on the rear seats viewed from the rear hatch. The Red has Red.

Never noticed.

Show a picture. Ima not visualizing "locking pins". I just took a gander "from the hatch" and can't see what your describing.

It looks like a PIN when closed from the rear but open it is actually the door or seat "striker"

Deep blue on the blue. Red on the red.

Well, blow me down, as Popeye says. I never saw that either. Almost seven years into the Silky Silver Stinger and well over two years into the Micro Blue. I go outside to look and the moment I pop the hatch on the Micro Blue, that's when I see the clearly visible "pins" the same color. If I was to guess before looking, I'd have said the "pins" on the Silky Silver were black. They are silver. Funny.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The two things that bug me on this car. My23 Stinger GT...last model highest spec in Oz is...

1. The dirty tail pipes.
I never experienced this on the GM G8 V8 I owned 14 years. They were straight out quad pipes with chrome extensions.
The Stinger has the standard pipes poking into a chrome fascia that gets filthy with soot.....

2. The rear smart tail gate.
Who thought of this?
Absolutely useless in a garage.
Every time I pass it, it wants to open. Sometimes it does and I have to turn around and close the thing.
Crap design
I don;t mind it in a supermarket car park but at home it is a PIA so I have turned it off................again.

And just so you know in case if I am not back....problem with the email address and frankly I am over email addresses...............

I use Messenger on Linkedin and facebook and email addresses are obsolete to me.....apart from a dedicated one for all my important stuff I aint giving to anyone.

So K8 has let us know and that's fine. Not a problem.

Give those BMWs. Mustangs and Porches a run for their money. You have a better car.........

What's the topic of this thread? "Stinger, interesting-discoveries..?" There are some, some where!
Although weather is interesting too!
I’m just on page 55 of 109. I think a few more sub headings are needed, especially one for weather and wiper parking…

Discovered a new one yesterday after two years.....

When driving with Navigation activated, the compass setting in the instrument cluster is replaced with the destination address and time....and distance I think....

Factory nav I’m guessing, not CarPlay Apple Maps or WAZE right?

i dealt with this with my Infiniti Q60 and Evo X ... i even kept a piece of steel wool sitting on a shelf in my garage to clean the exhaust tips every few days.
pretty sure its because they ran rich from the factory for safety/longevity.

i do not have this problem with my Stinger because its a Scorpion and the tail pipes are black. lol!

also park in a garage and turned it off day one.
additionally, the side of the garage where i park has a goofy garage door opener setup (because HVAC vent running across that side of the garage), so i have to set the hatch opening height kinda low or i smack the garage door opener

If you turn your headlight stalk to OFF the headlights will still turn on at night, but your Dynamic Headlights won't track, and the car won't alert you to any of this in any way.

So if you're wondering why your Dynamic Headlights aren't bending around corners check your left stalk headlight setting.

Don't you guys have mandatory Daytime Running Lamps? If so, this may be a Canada-specific thing...does "Off" actually turn your lights off during the day?

It's possible they just put the headlights themselves on switched power, ie on whenever the car is running, but didn't change any of the other system logic. So when you turn them "Off", you're killing the other features but not actually cutting power to the lights.

All new vehicles have daytime running lights and have done so since 2017. Probably before that.

What we do have is Random Breath Testing anywhere any time and the alcohol limit has been 0.05 for decades as 0.08 which Canada seems to rigidly stand by is significantly drunk.

I will check this latest "headlight feature" and see if it is true.

I believe DRLs and Headlights are different lights/levels. DRLs are just marking lights to help other drivers see you but don't really illuminate anything enough for you to see outside.

My stinger just detects that it's dark and turns the headlights on as soon as I shift into Drive even when my stalk was set to OFF (instead of AUTO) so it felt normal for months. The logic makes sense, but I didn't notice it until I was taking a tight off-ramp at night and couldn't see anything around the bend.

For some reason my Adaptive lights weren't working and it took a few days of tinkering before the facepalm. All these nannies make you a bit lazy; auto door-locks, auto headlights, auto park etc.

Oh I thought a lot of cars just used the headlights. Looks like in countries that require DRLs, it's often a low power version of the headlights, or sometimes a separate dedicated light.

But I wonder if for cars that are produced mostly for countries that don't use/require DRLs, it's easier to just have the low beams stay on for the ones sent to DRL countries, vs. redesigning the light system for what may be a small portion of the market.

For those playing at home, if you are parked putting your handbrake on turns the DRL's off and releasing the handbrake turns them on.

Regardless of what setting you have chosen on the stalk.

I have noticed just this weekend past my lights no longer look left and right and up and down ??

When remote starting the car it defaults the climate control to "auto" and sets the temp to 23C

Rather annoying because I would rather it was left in the positions I left it.
Definitely annoying, especially when it's below zero .
