I never had that light come on before the update, although I read about others having that on a UK forum I think.I am going to the dealership this friday.
One other colleague in Spain was there in other region a few days ago and showed up the picture you attached with the ECU firmware info to them. They told him there is a campaign to solve problems on the GPF, when the GPF light appears on on the panel. I have never seen that light on.
Were you guys having this light on on your panels??

symbol you get, then it definitely is a malfunction. If the car doesn't get into limp home mode then you can get this e.g. when the particle filter differential pressure sensor is broken or full of carbon.
symbol, that just means it sees a too high differential pressure and wants to regenerate the particle filter and you need to drive +80 km/h for a length of time. It is not considered an error. I had this come up once and it needed about 20 or 30 minutes of relaxed (=important) highway driving for it to clear.
