If you were to sell your Stinger....what next?

We did not really have any issues, it was more of a preemptive decision. It has over 62k miles and the CPO had just expired.
So you were paranoid about the possibility of issues? And now your gonna avoid the brand you actually never had any issues with? WHAT? Is there more to the story?

I have always wanted a M car, specifically an M3 but just cannot justify the cost. Perhaps a future EV?

I would not agree with that assessment. We have always wanted a Macan GTS and BMW's are notorious for having expensive issues after they go past the warranty time. If that is not something you are aware of, I can't help you with that. I have been a car enthusiast since even before I was old enough to drive and in every enthusiast circle I have been involved in, including BMW ones, it is pretty common knowledge about BMW's lack of reliability as they age and even if you are good about preventative maintenance. I have no problem owning a BMW with a warranty, not so much without one.

Times have changed.

New beamers are pretty reliable

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
That's exactly what I was gonna ask next...

I figured his thoughts were based around "older" bmw's.
They definitely came pretty far in reliability. Especially the b58/s58 engines.

As far as electronics etc, it's with any brand manufacturer. It's a finicky line as tech is more integrated into cars.

Not according to the BMW Techs and BMW Dealership Service Managers I know personally. Well I should preface my last statement with, have they improved, yes, would I consider them reliable to own one long term without a warranty, no.

the i6 models generally are pretty reliable... still can have the off hand electronic/suspension/infotainment issues... but the v8 ones are still not great... much much better than the old n62 days but still an engine i'd want a warranty on....
I will say, while i was waiting around for a recall to be done on our old z4, the amount of newer (last 5 model years) cars brought in on a flat bed to the service bay was alarming...
