I looked heavily into that as well before I bought my 2023 replacement. The funniest and stupidest thing I didn't like about it was the trunk passthrough. I got so used to having plenty of space in the Stinger that my mind just wouldn't stop saying "but, but...but...the trunk passthrough". I've got issues.i've also been having evil CT4-V blackwing thoughts. 6-speed stick.
The hatch also is a thing... We have never owned a regular 3 box "car" with a trunk... suv's, wagons, hatchbacks... no sedans yet.... might break the trend someday but it'll probably be something like a 7 series or g90... lolI looked heavily into that as well before I bought my 2023 replacement. I too had those thoughts, but the fact that it doesn't come in a coupe any more with the sizing (and the fact that for the last model year or two, the ATS-V was ONLY a coupe) and the fact that where I am, id rather have an AWD vehicle to daily is what kept me away from it. Eventually ill be picking up a CT5-V-BW in manual to have as a fun car, but that wont be for many years. For now, the G70LE will keep me going!i've also been having evil CT4-V blackwing thoughts. 6-speed stick.
I have to say...my 1st car was a 3dr hatch. My next 2 were coupes with a standard trunk. Getting into a Stinger made me realize how much I missed having a hatch....for what it's worth. The hatch also is a thing... When I was in high school I bought a slightly used 1986 Toyota Camry hatchback. I wanted it mostly for my subwoofers to "bounce" off the hatch window and because it was affordable. I got rid of it right after high school and hadn't had a hatch since. When I bought the Stinger in 2018, the first thing I said to myself was "why did I wait so long to get back into the hatch life". Then the next thing, "how many speakers..." I said that one out loud, the wife was not about the subwoofer/hatch life. The hatch also is a thing... I replaced mine with BRZ and still have to pick 2nd vehicle. Still got wife's Stinger though.Someday i will replace the stinger with 2 cars. A cushy family car, something like an e-class wagon, v60 recharge, or cadillac lyric, and a sports car like a boxster/corvette/mx-5. Shows you how good the Stinger is when it will only be replaced by 2 cars.
