If you were to sell your Stinger....what next?

The stinger has spoiled me on so many features and design choices that any replacement would in some aspects be a downgrade. Even simple things like analog gauges and physical buttons I'd miss having.

I also can't stop looking at it and appreciating what a rare beauty it is. Blows my mind it was the worst selling kia every production year.

The only car that came close was the 2013-17 RS7, for like 2-3x the price and with blank buttons in the center console, even in the highest spec... like wtf?

I think about this a lot now since my Stinger is fully paid off and has a decent trade in value. I think if I do trade it in I might consider the Ioniq 5 N. If I keep it as a garage queen I'll just get a cheap commuter car like a Civic Hatchback or somethinf.

Stringer was almost pure perfection for ICE but EV FTW.

I looked heavily into that as well before I bought my 2023 replacement. The funniest and stupidest thing I didn't like about it was the trunk passthrough. I got so used to having plenty of space in the Stinger that my mind just wouldn't stop saying "but, but...but...the trunk passthrough". I've got issues.
What’s the issue with “the trunk passthrough" in the Cadillac?

Nothing wrong with the passthrough itself. I have gotten used to the full capability of the hatch back/fold down seats. The passthrough just isn't enough open space for me.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I'm probably gonna be looking hard at a used 2022 BMW M440i xdrive gran coupe next year for less than $50k. That B58 is calling my name...

That grill though..

The thing that concerns me about the idea of a used BMW is the sensors and electronics failing and costing a small fortune. I can easily work on things like brakes, lock actuators and stuff like that but broken electronics that need an expensive diagnosic machine scare me.

Known issues?

Kia's electronics aren't much cheaper to replace than BMW's from the quotes I've heard. If anything the Kia stealerships are charging BMW prices while providing kia level service and workmanship.
I've only taken my car in to two different service shops so far but I'm already planning on a 3rd and 4th just to find ONE that does a competent job.

Got it. That same issue is largely why I just went from a 2-door Honda Accord coupe to the Stinger. Love the practical functionality of hatchbacks and wagons; impossible to find a reasonably priced yet fun wagon these days. (Can’t afford the RS6 Avant or AMGs.)

M440i gran coupe matches the stinger's hatch space area and it has the b58 ftw. Prices are trickling down on them...

I currently still love my Stinger, but once it's dead, either a Tesla Model 3 or a Ioniq5/6. In my situation it would cut down my costs massively while still having that fun instant torque.

If I were to stick to gas cars either a Supra if I had more $$$ or a 4 cylinder sports car (cheaper on gas but still fun) - something like an Elantra N/N-line or Mazda 3 GT
I had a 2018 Stinger GT2 - High Chroma Red - after a couple of other cars - I now have a KIA EV6 - Runway Red and It's basically an electric Stinger! Slightly faster - and I have the GT-Line model 0-60 in 4.4 seconds 320HP with 446 FT/LB torque). The GT is way faster. 0-60 in like 3.4 seconds (576 HP and 546 FT/LB of torque.). Check them out. I love mine!

This is the reason my wife and I got rid of our 18' X3 M40i with the B58. The vehicle was great and the motor fantastic like butter, but its all the plastic and/or electronic parts that seem to fail in BMW's on schedule with the ending of your warranty that concern me. As much as I would consider another BMW with the B58 in it I would have to have a lightly used CPO with at least 5 years of coverage to consider it.
