How much are you willing to pay? (lease)

You’d be paying too much imo. You’re essentially putting 3k down and you’re still over 1% of sticker price per month. The money factors on stingers right now aren’t great, nor are residuals, so that’s not helpful here, but I think you should be able to get this to sub $500 a month given those terms.

I’d tell the dealer you’ll sign the deal if they can get you to $475 a month, that’s assuming they find another $1200-1500 off what they’re offering you now. They’ll likely come back around $490-500 and you can save yourself some money down the road.

I’m very much of the mindset that you shouldn’t pay more than 1% of sticker per month on a lease. The stingers popularity, scarcity and bad lease terms make that tough, but deals are still out there to be had. Good luck!
So $520 a month for a GT2 AWD? Good luck with that, I'm paying $649 and am quite pleased with my terms.

That would be a great deal if it were a GT2 AWD. It's not though.

Edit: I see what you're saying. You're saying good luck ever getting to that price. Well if the MF comes down and you get a discount on the vehicle, it is possible. Probably be a while before that is possible though.

That sounds like good deal, mine was for a GT1 AWD with the 18 inch tire package. They are listing for 45689 before tax with some lease rebate.

My goal was 500$ per month

That’s what all of this comes down to. If you’re happy with your terms, that’s awesome. The stinger is a great car, and that’s all that matters for a lot of people.

Geez but $649 a month lease for a $52K car, which I hope you didnt actually get it at $52K. Which kinda makes it worst. OUCH!! Unless you plan on purchasing it after the lease is over. Then no biggie.

If you think that's bad, listen to this. My dealer was telling me I was getting a good deal by getting it for somewhere between 7 and 800. I told them don't worry about it. They're a little too proud of these cars right now in my opinion. I'm actually thinking I'm just going to lease one of those new XC40s and then maybe lease a Stinger next year when it has all the features that I want and the lease figures are better.

Here’s a thought: why don’t you saunter down to your local Kia dealer checkbook in hand (to show you’re serious) and make your best deal to prove that I’m an idiot, I’ll be here waiting to see how you made out.

I think you got an awesome deal. Like I said, my dealer was trying to get me to go for a deal in the 700s. They couldn't give me an exact figure without running my credit and I told them don't worry about it. I told them I knew people getting them for in between 600-650 (you being one of the people I was referencing) and they seemed like they couldn't believe it.

I'm paying $600 for a 36 month lease on a GT2 with a $7200 rebate and a pretty solid down payment. After figuring everything in over the life of the lease vs the life of a loan, it ended up being pretty much a wash.

With the lease, I was able to do a much smaller down payment to get the monthly where I wanted it and If I choose to buy the car out at the end, thanks to the rebate, I'll still owe right about what I would have on the loan at that point.

I don't normally lease, in fact I've only ever leased one other car but in this case I felt it was the better deal for me.

A little too proud of these cars is exactly right. The MF they have on the stinger is atrocious, so even if you get a great deal on the car itself, the MF will raise your payment $75-100 a month more than it should be.

At this point you can work a genesis g80 sport lease deal for 625-650 a month out the door with nothing down. The sticker on that car is 5-6k more than the stinger GT2, but the MF on the Genesis is equal to .38%, which makes a massive difference vs the stinger at like 4-5%.

At some point, there will be more supply, and Kia will have to make some concessions on MF. Once those things happen, you’ll start to see GT2 leases at 500-550 imo.

Ya I know, it was the poster above you who thinks I’m paying triple what I should because the dealer must have kidnapped my family, I mean nobody can be that dumb, right?

Hey Brother, everyone has their own path...don’t worry about what others think.

The Kia dealers are all over the place with pricing. Very disappointing...

Im not saying I can get a better deal. Im saying that is just a bad lease deal. They say a good lease deal is 1% of the price of the car per month. Im hoping you put nothing down?? If not you have to take the down payment and divide it by how many months you are leasing and add that to the $649 to get your real lease payment.

I couldnt justify leasing a $45K car for $649 or more a month. That does not make sense to me. That is why I leased a 2018 Q50S Red Sport for $520 a month and that car was $58K.

So im glad you enjoy the deal you got and the car is wonderful. Meant no offense!! :)

Ya in a few months, they will be giving this car away. Just like Hyundai did with the Genesis.

A. The MSRP was $52,410, not $45k. B. I paid $240 down for DMV fees only. C. Did you lease your Red Sport like 10 minutes after the car was first released? Didn’t think so. We all know the longer you wait the better the deals will be, in my case my lease ran out and I wanted a Stinger so I made the best deal I could, sometimes you have to pay the Piper to get what you want.

649 a month with nothing down on an AWD GT2 is a very good deal given how poor MF and RV are right now.

My lease was almost up to, but I wasnt going to overpay for a Kia. I wasnt going to overpay for a Giulia. I wasnt going to overpay for a G80 Sport. So I ended up with a Red Sport. :)

You paid sticker price?!?! OUCH!!

Enjoy your ride!! :)

The MSRP isn’t what I paid considering there’s a $7200 rebate (duh), that being said I got more $ shaved also (which if you understood a lease you’d be able to figure out by yourself), and I wanted a Stinger, I wasn’t looking for the best deal I could find on anything else. BTW I wouldn’t take a Red Sport for free but enjoy your ride too.
