So I drive a 2020 Stinger GT-Line with just over 22k miles and I got it a little over a year ago. I bought it brand new and have had no issues with it until up about 2 weeks ago. I was driving to work and about halfway through I noticed anytime I would try to accelerate it would hit 4000 RPMs and barely move. The engine sounded like it normally would when accelerating, there were warning lights on the dash, and no funky smells or sounds. I eventually got to work and when I was leaving my car was working perfectly. I still brought it to the dealership the next day to be safe and they couldn’t recreate it or find anything that would make that happen. Fast forward to today, on my way to work about halfway through, car’s running fine, I get onto the parkway and try to speed up to match with traffic, my car revs up to 4000 RPMs and I go nowhere. Once again no funky sounds or smells, no check engine lights or any other indicators. I drove a little further down to make sure it was happening again. I shut my car off for 15 minutes and it was back to running how it should after. I know should’ve recorded it this time but I was already running behind so I called the dealership while it was off to schedule an appointment. Which isn’t until next week because apparently their systems are down, so until then I’m reaching out for help on what could’ve cause this for the 2nd time.
