Help, My Stinger randomly shuts down

I had a 2020 Stinger GT that did the same thing to me many times, the dealer could never duplicate it so therefore never solved the problem, I finally traded it in.

I am having this problem. When the engine shuts down all goes black. It seems that the battery is disconnecting. If I jump the car using the bonnet/hood terminals all is fine and the battery will then start the car. This has happened about 6 times in the past year. It only happens when the car is stationary with the engine off. It seems as if some relay or overload circuit is disconnecting the battery until power comes back onto the system and it resets.

reading through this thread, I wonder if the idle / stop / go does this when somehow faulty. I hate that feature and drive with it off.

I have a 2019 Kia Stinger leased in May 2019. I have had SEVERAL incidents where, at a light with the AUTO feature OFF, the car shuts down and will not start until I put it into park and try to restart it (keyless). Yesterday, it wouldn't start and took several tried to get it to start again. I was at a light... not very safe.
YES the exact thing happened to me today! kia stinger 2019 2.0L, did you find what the problem was?

this sounds like an extreme version of what happened to our 2.0L last year. three times in half a year it would not start, not even a sound. each time I removed the fob from the car for a variable number of minutes, then it would start. finally took it in and the dealer "reflashed" the entire starting system modules. What else could they do? it's not as if they replicate the issue on demand. they took my word for it and called Kia Corp., and did the protocol I suppose. and everything has been fine since, still crossing fingers here.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
