HEADS UP RE: WINTER TIRE PACKAGE KIA - CANADA

Hello All, I went to my local Kal Tire dealer last week and they removed a front and a rear wheel to measure clearances, bolt pattern etc... will have a set of 18" rims and tires in next week and I will let you know if they fit.
Hi Mattman,
Where about are you located, maybe we can help. :)

That poor Stinger... those Brembos deserve better. I went with the 18" Fastco FC04s w Micheline X-Ice3s for $1634.00.
What offset did you get with the FC04s ET30 or ET40? Will ET40 not work?

Also, can you confirm tire size for snows - are they 225/45/18? My Stinger will arrive in about 2 weeks.

Thanks

Offset is really important... I have an ET30 offset. 18”x8” rims.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
We also have the FC04 wheels with Michelin X-Ice Xi3 tires for $1,634 including install before tax. If you are in need. The tire size that can be used is 225/45R18. The offset is +30 for best clearance.

Thank You Durham Kia. One more question, do I have to put TPMS sensors in the snows?

Scotty, where did you get your rims?
Thanks, and a Merry Christmas! :)

I got them from Kia Milton. They got them directly from Fastco.

Merry Christmas as well!

No need unless you get annoyed with the warning light on the dash IMHO.

+1 to this. The dealer actually said the same thing to me. The car just gives you an annoying message to check the sensors every now and then, but it's fine since it's only for a few months.

I can deal with something like that. If it were an orange light that stayed on continuously - that would be bad...

Goes wonderfully with the orange light that's always on from the radar being blocked by the snow.

Lol yep that has already happened to me as well!!

Yeah, not really liking the sounds of that. I used to have those orange (or sometimes red) lights stuck on with my cars when I was young. I don't want any memories of those annoying times now that I'm 111.

Honestly it isn’t too bad. The tire pressure light is in the top right of the cluster so it stays relatively hidden from the steering wheel. :)

You’d think they’d give us the option to disable for snow tires...

Okay, so it doesn't sound too bad again. :p I think we're going to need a picture. :D
