Has anyone seen any Stingers in the wild?

Bought my Stinger Jan 2018. First 2 Stingers spotted were blue 2.0s ... then spotted my dumbed down twin (spotted was a GT1, I have a GT2) in my neighborhood!:) Turned around and knocked on the door of the house it was parked in front of to tell them how I admire their car.:p Unfortunately, no answer. I will now eye check that house until successfully reeling in the owner. Hope she is beautiful and available!

Be careful though, last year I attended a wedding, In the church carpark I saw a red stinger, I had my DCB parked at the other end of the carpark. After the ceremony I waited to see whose it was, lots of people left and then I see the groom's father tying white "V" shaped ribbons on it. My wife and I shuffled over to him and the entourage and gushed about his sparkling hichroma red beauty , after we had finished showering praise about his master piece he turned his head in front of all and said " Get over its just a car" .

People who buy the Stinger aren't 'just a car' people.

That was just bravado in front of the audience. Inside he was all puffed up and beaming.

True, the fact it wasn't alone in the carpark might have shat on his parade to?

Makes you wonder why he bought the Stinger in the first place, doesn't sound like he appreciates what he has. Top of the range, performance vehicles in whatever brand are not " just any old cars "

^^^He certainly won't be the first with this car, and I've seen my share of people that buy cars that enthusiasts love, but non-car enthusiasts got it for other reasons.

12.45pm today, Micro Blue heading west on Victoria Rd Parramatta EAX***

Not in the wild, but saw this Silky Silver with powder coated black OEM wheels at a local Ford dealership.

Also found this Sunset Yellow StingerGT.

No small Stinger or GT badge on the rear hatch.

As you can see in the photo below, there is a deep chip with a large area next to it missing maybe clear coat on top of the yellow.

On this window form, this Stinger described as a CK MY19 yet it was built in APR 18, is that correct, should it still be a MY18 ? Complianced on 03/19. Odometer reads 7820kms.

Doesn't seem right to me, 11 months from build date to AU compliance. Average time is usually no longer tyan 2 months.

Took them that long to repaint it.

1.30pm today, SWP on Old Northern Rd Wisemans Ferry heading south YIX***

This is a botched respray. The clearcoat isn't adhering correctly. That chip was a hard hit by something that also caused the adjacent area to flake off the clearcoat.

Ok, get ready for this.

As I was approaching a roundabout today in my HCR I’ve seen a Police Stinger, also red, about to enter the roundabout at the next entry point. I’ve cravenly, um, prudently slowed down, let him enter first then followed him around. I’ve exited at the first exit while he’s continued around to the second. But as I’m exiting, a third red Stinger has entered and taken my place behind the cop car. So for a split second we had 3 red Stingers all within spitting distance of each other. Incredible. I doubt whether you would ever get 3 Stingers that close to each other in general traffic let alone 3 of the same colour.

I suspect all future Stinger sightings will be a tad anticlimactic after today.

Well this was only in the wild in the sense that the internet is a wild place, but since Stingers are pretty popular in Australia I figured it was just a matter of time before I noticed one hopefully just in the background of a Dash Cam Owners Australia compilation on YouTube which are always amusing. Well I finally saw one but it's a police Stinger. Do most of the Australia Stinger owners here use dashcams?

Edit: Forums stripped the Start At time, tried to fix but forums keep stripping it, so just fast forward to 11:53

Need to add the time marker. For those not looking to watch the hole thing.

Police Stinger is at the 11:58 mark.

I have never had a dash cam before but after purchasing my Stinger which is also the most expensive new car I have ever got I wanted a cam just in case.

My thought exactly: until I started actually seeing what was happening, then I couldn't tear my eyes away. Some of those are unbelievable. "Never rush a yellow light" is illustrated quite well.

4:45 "Stoopid American tourists, can't drive on the proper side of the road!" :p (But what was the taxi's excuse? 5:48)

10:05. Whooo! That ended well.

Saved a screenshot of the Stinger cop blocked by the flustered motorist.

16:45 Killer sagebrush! (look at what we can get around here:  sage brush collection.webp)

16:57 Prudence is the better part of valor! :D (the middle one)

18:50 Always back out all the way before cranking the wheels (glad it wasn't a Stinger; still hurt to watch this slowmo ).

The last one. Looks like Love: "Wait, you giant YELLOW gorgeous creature; come back!" (stupid bird)

The one way street incidents are "anyone could have that happen".

And I particularly enjoy the near misses because the dashcam owners were savvy/lucky enough!
I don't think that watching this was good for my blood pressure: the asshats, the ENTITLED ONES!? dominate and I just want to reach in and grab them and throttle them within an inch of their useless lives.
