yes!! i've trialed tidal but i've been with spotify premium for so long i hate to start over on my playlists etc....

You can actually export and import your playlist from Spotify into Tidal, but having the worlds biggest streaming service step up to CD quality is good! hopefully the other MP3 services will step up as well

Harmon-Kardon is typically pretty good. Let's give these audio systems a little break-in time before we write them off. I'd be surprised if Kia went with a system that could be easily criticized for such an important car to the brand...

I have heard a lot of different “upgraded sound systems” the one in the stinger is amazing imo. Bass is tight and defined, mids are clear and everything seems well balanced. Goes plenty loud and you can still hear so many layers to the music in exceptional detail. Definitely let it have time to break in, it always makes a difference.

I’m actually surprised some brands allow their name to be placed on these systems. Especially if they didn’t actually help design/manufacture the hardware and DSP.

Agree, garbage in , garbage out. I think this system is very flat and detailed. If you ever listen to studio monitors you will understand what I mean.

Installing aftermarket subs and amp this afternoon in 2023 GT2. Have had the same system in my 2019 GT1, 2016 Optima, 2010 G6 and 2005 Maxima. I like bass and my worrying about adding weight for racing reasons is in the past. Car has plenty enough power to settle down most people who want to play. My 19 GT1 sounded incredible after the install so I'm hoping it will help the 23 because so far I have not been happy. Added some sound deadening in the 19 which I will also be doing in the 23. Will update with some pics of the process after I'm done.

The overerall sound quality from the H/K system is very good and above average. Bass/mids and highs all sound pretty tight.

The only observation I've noted is that the sound at times is distant - as if the speakers are further away. Compared to other systems which are very in your face sounding.

There is 3 different settings for sound one of these will do as you described

Yeah I know. Reference sounds the most typical for a premium system, however with this mode the audio is very front bias. Audience creates a nice sorround experienfe. Not a fan of on stage.

Ditto...Stage sounds better to my ears. However, my hearing is shot so take that for what it's worth.
