Welcome Melvin and congrats. You made a great choice.

Regarding your mod plans, my suggestion is this: don't rush into things and focus on protection/health first. Drive and enjoy the car for a while. Learn its capabilities and make sure it's all working 100%. If you still feel you want something more at that time, then look carefully at performance mods and don't be seduced by numbers or keeping up with others.

Personally, I think a dash cam is essential and would start there. I personally bring a cheap one even when I rent a car.

Then, assuming you're planning to keep the car for a while and everything checks out, first look at paint protection/correction/coating, fender vent screens, tint, mud flaps, floor/trunk liners, phone mount solutions if that's your thing. This would be a good time to install catch cans if you are committed to them. Just be ready to maintain them, and IMO, focus on ones that don't negatively impact the car's PCV and CCV systems to relieve pressure rather than how much fluid it captures, and definitely not based on how cool it looks. If this is a long term car, you will be glad you did these things first.

Once that's all taken care of, if you want more sound, performance, etc. then you can explore those other options. It is generally much more satisfying to spend good money on performance mods when you are familiar enough with the car to notice what the mod is adding to the experience. On the flip side, if you modify a car before knowing how it behaves when stock, it can make for frustrating experience if there is a problem down the road.

On your list, it goes without saying the JB4 (or similar piggy back tune) will be the most impactful, but that doesn't make it necessary. If you aren't mechanically inclined, realize that you may be making repeated trips to the shop if you encounter problems with say, spark plugs. Not everyone has a set-and-forget experience with these.

Again, don't worry about keeping up with what others are doing--it becomes an endless cycle.

I once read something that stuck with me: if you can't afford to repair the car out of warranty, be very wary of modifying.

Hope this helps. Enjoy and stay safe.

Howdy. Sway bars. :D

Welcome home.

Great info on the forums makes it easier to make a more informed decision. Like @hummus said, you don’t need to keep up with the Jones’. Plenty of power stock and with a few mods (like exhaust and sway bars) driving experience and confidence levels go up exponentially.

The only modification this fantastic car needs is dash cam and paint protection film. Is insanely fast compared to your regular mundane cars and is practical and most importantly its a beautiful machine.

Tasty! The Scorpion treatment looks like what a stock+ minded enthusiast would do with a big budget and some restraint. The wheels are just so right.

I'm thinking along these lines. I would add window tint though. Off the showroom floor, the Stinger is factory equipped with performance and looks that folks spend loads of money trying to achieve. And the Scorpion adds another level to that.

Nice!

Not sure I see enough to justify any additional cost over a stock GT model. Agree that tint is a good idea, especially if it gets hot where you are.

Hummus made some excellent points earlier regarding letting the car break-in and driver get used to its capabilities before rushing down the long and twisted road to mods. Stock the car is 4.7s-ish 0-60 and 12.9s 1/4 mile. That's very respectable and on the street, I have no issues doing whatever I want when I want. If I was doing autocross/track maybe some sway bars and if drag racing I'd not even own the Stinger. The Stinger does everything well, but excels at nothing (other than being good at everything).

First set of mods. HKS BOVs, Injen Intakess, ADD w1 dual catchcan setup. All from the k8stingerstore.
David at the K8 store was great next day delivery on my order..
