First US Stinger TV Advertisement (teaser)

I'd get that in a second if it were a RWD Stinger GT wagon. But it's supposed to be a C'eed which in the top trim has about 200hp FWD? Base model like 134?

I suppose marketing a concept car that looks like a cool wagon version of your twin turbo V6 RWD luxury sport sedan as a new version of your entry-level FWD econobox WOULD be in line with all the mistakes Kia corporate has made so far with the Stinger.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
LOVE this series of ads, especially the quotation from The Tempest. Classy. Wouldn't work in the U.S., do you think? Well, maybe if they refilmed it with U.S. destinations and dumped Shakespeare. Does put the navigation system in question: old school paper map and Sharpie!

But when are we finally going to see some promotions with WOMEN driving this car?!?!

The GM at my local dealership said KMA green lighted Telluride and it's supposed to be announced/released in mid 2018. But it might take about a year after the announcement before the sales will launch. Since Hyundai/Genesis adopted the "N" brand for their cars I wonder what performance division name for Kia would be.

Yes at the Canadian Dealer meeting we were told Telluride is coming 2019 as a 400+ hp Lux SUV

Actually I have to disagree, the hamsters have very much been part of the Souls rise to the top of Kia's list. Its the only Kia vehicle so far to become an icon for Kia in North America.

This sounds like a good discussion... Is Kia going after the same buyer with the Stinger as they are with the Soul?

Aren't the hamsters used exclusively for the Soul? They definitely went for a different market entirely with that 2012 Superbowl ad for the Optima.

Definitely not lol. They need to find a unique angle for the Stinger advertizing
Well, I'm trying to picture an angle with the chipmunks. :p I'm one of those old farts who feel the Chipmunks should be left out of Stinger marketing - but I'd like to hear any ideas that would make them make sense...

chipmunks

Definitely no cuteness. Needs to be classy, show what a GT is for, i.e travelling, comfort, speed. Different environments, set the stage for AWD in the snow, that sort of thing. After all, KIA wants to be among the "Big Boys" now. I hope they can pull it off.
