I AIM for squirrels and chipmunks when I see them on the road. I have no sympathy for rodents. Not only do they chew on the lines, they come out of NOWHERE and can easily make the most macho of men wet themselves when working the lines. You can feel the SOBs slightly bounce the wire and slowly gets worse. You start looking left, right, in front of you, behind you... it's like they are running along the bottom and just as they reach you, they run across your hands, jump in front of you or jump on your hardhat and then jump across to the next wire without ever seeing them until AFTER the fact. And yes, I speak from experience. Though, I would have to say opossum beats them in the change-your-pants department. They are bigger, yes, but slower and more careful when they are walking the line and you don't feel them. Next thing you know, you look left or right and see the shine of their eyes and those teeth 2 feet from you! You are never supposed to do the fireman-pole-slide down a ladder but I tell you what, I was out of my belt and down the ladder before my bladder even knew I wanted to piss my pants. LOL
