If you have stock pads itll happen againI had the shuddering issue. Had the rotors replaced two times under warranty with 10k miles on my gt2. I gave up. I just got done putting some girodisc rotors on the front and a set of cquence slotted rotors on the rear. Going to bed in the pads in the morning. Feels so much better now. Hopefully wont have any more issues.
You are 100% gtgI went with hawk street 5.0 pads front and rear.
are you replacing with OEM rotors?Hawks were a bit pricey for me... $165. Got a decent pair for ~$70 bucks from RockAuto.com.
Side Note... I attempted to turn the rotors and reuse the existing brake pads, just to resurface them a bit so they were "fresh"... Horrible idea... turns out as I attempted to bed them, the issue started to get better than got worse and worse. I then thought it was the brakes since they were the only factor not addressed. Replaced pads, made sure they were in the right direction and all but still.. same thing vibrations to the point to where I thought my tires were going to fly off.
Turns out, the brembo rotors are not designed to be turned.. they'll warp. Most autopart stores should know this but if you got lucky like me, they won't say anything and decide to turn them anyways. So now I'm waiting on replacement rotors. Should've read this forum prior to ripping my daily apart![]()
Yeah. The brembo ones from kia are around ~170ish each. I snagged front rotors from rockauto for 44.79 a pop.

It's time for new tires and brakes for me but I'm having a hard time making up my mind. IMO, the $50 Centric pads are actually a great deal - they're about equivalent to OEM but cheap. Not sure if the Dynamic Friction or Centric rotors are equivalent to the Brembo rotors.
Either way, I just don't want to deal with this anymore. Thinking Euro spec pads up front and not sure about the rears yet.
Actually those are the wrong ones. I got these. These are the pads I got. Rotors get here Friday so I can let y’all know what I think by Saturday. Ive attached a photo of the pads.
We have the same issues with the pad deposits so I would guess they're the same or similar.Does anyone know what pads the Canada market got? Seems like the lineup we have in Canada is very different than what is available in the US
I thought G70 came with the softer (better bite) pads? Compared to the harder (less bite and dust) pads foe Stinger in USA, Canada, Australia?I understand that the semi-metallic pads are actually softer, but more abrasive, so they are literally scraping off the pad deposits when you brake? LIke helo58 has indicated? My G70 has had this issue since day 1. After two machinings, a new set of OEM front rotors, and a Euro-pad purchase by myself for the fronts, the 'warped' brake sensation has finally disappeared.
All model years, and I suspect that even 2022 will be no different, although we have not, so far, had any of the first few '22 members say anything about brake shudder.is this a problem that affects '21s? Or just earlier models?
What made you think that?I thought G70 came with the softer (better bite) pads? Compared to the harder (less bite and dust) pads foe Stinger in USA, Canada, Australia?
Just out of curiosity, are they the same for both front and rear or just front? Can confirm Evo X brakes fit. Just put in stoptech streets. I had shudder before; absolutely 0 now
