just a quick follow up, after you remote start using drone, make sure your doors are locked, if you remote start with doors unlocked and then open the door/hatch, the car will shut down. car has to be locked prior to remote starting then you can unlock it and enter and drive off.

I just tested a Drone remote start with the door unlocked. The engine started, then the doors locked 2 seconds later. I tested again, but opened the doors during the 2 second window, the car did shut off when opening the door.

I've always had EZGO, was advised couldnt do it this time as the new firmware does not support it and also Compustar discontinued it.

EZGO works perfectly. Compustar had a couple remaining in stock when I ordered it last Tuesday. I called Compustar yesterday to order another key fob because it only comes with one. They said the had plenty of key fobs in stock, but had parts for EZGO systems for the next year or so for warranty reasons. I’d suggest trying to find one before they are completely gone. My shop charged me $150 including installation. If you can find an EZGO, make sure it’s the latest generation with black key fobs.

I used to leave my factory FOB in my car at all times cause the EZGO was the primary and without that you couldn't gain access even though factory was in car, is that still the case?

Also, you had the DC3 module installed?

I’ll have to double check to see if it was DC3. No fob is required to be left in the car.

My ezgo works great with compustar/drone. I picked up an extra ezgo system if anyone is looking for one since they no longer make them.

I called Compustar and bought an extra ezgo fob. They have plenty of fobs, but no more systems.

Really?! Is there anything special to do to set up that Aux 1 setting? I just pushed it to see if anything happened.

That’s what I have and it works. You could have your installer call my installer if you want.

Thanks for this info. I spoke to my install guy. He said he should be able to figure it out and do it on Monday. I’m hoping he can also add the Cooling seats button to Aux2.

Just had this done today. Aux 1 turns on heated steering wheel & both heated seats. Aux 2 turns on both cooled seats. Works perfectly!
