... so far, but recently became interested in Stingers. I drive a 2015 Optima currently, and my hobby car is a 90 Ford Taurus SHO, but I figured my next car would be a fun car, and have at least three years until I'm ready to commit. I'll be lurking for a while.
Cheers!
Do not, I repeat, do not get out of the SHO and into the Stinger for a test drive! In no time flat, you'll end up looking at your SHO with little to no love and your three year plan will turn into a three day plan!
Having owned a '90 Taurus SHO myself, the Stinger is MILES ahead of that car in every respect (especially reliability!) The SHO, in it's time, was a great car compared to the rest of the field. That was then, this is now.
Aftermarket tweaks make the SHO better, but in small ways.
Aftermarket tweaks in the Stinger make an already great car a LOT better! Tons of potential if you want a really fun car.
My wife, who is also a motorhead and an accomplished road course driver, will, to this day, turn and spit on the ground in disgust when hearing mention of a Taurus SHO.
When we came back from our Stinger test drive, she turned to me and said "If you don't buy this car, you're an idiot!!"
