DBLs — Dark spot in the center of beams?

I am also looking into this. I tried it on my Optima and did not look good, since I did not have a replacement reflector. The Stinger might be the same case here, but will post photo's once I get the lens off and the headlight torn down.

Have you made any progress on this? I find the dark spot infuriating and would love nothing more than to get rid of it. It's find driving around town or in the city but I the highway when it's pitch black its just terrible.

I know what is creating the dark spot, it can be removed with some careful filing.

I have been buried at work and unable to get away from the desk to mess around with it.

From my research, the "hot spot" does not meet FMVSS108 standards, therefor they have put a raised bump on the cutoff shield to reduce the glare/lux readings to make it compliant.

High beams maybe?

hi
im in the market for the 2020 Sedona SX w the DBLs. The two notches casted by the light is a deal breaker, did you find a way to remove the shadows?

thanks!
