Dealer Markup Cincinnati OH 2018 GT2 AWD $67K

Well, I checked with Florence and they were no better than any other deal..they also wanted 49K OTD with 0% for 66. I went to turn in my yellow one at Kia Fairfield where I got it from and to my surprise, they had a GT2 Ceramic silver with red inteior. but it was at their beechmont store..not the 67,000 one they have on their lot. I am now the proud owner of a ceramic silver gt2 and got it for 47k OTD with 66 months at 0%..I'm happy as I got my second favorite color behind the yellow. I don't think there's any 18 Ceramics left besides the overpriced one they have left.

Congrats on the new car!!

Florence wanted $49K for the red 2018? That's crazy!

I know...that rebate they have listed on their site includes 2K from Kia for 2.9% financing although it doesn't say that anywhere on their website. And of course their processing fee or whatever they want to call it was twice as much as Fairfield and of course the 300 paint protection they added on also. So yea, the original quote 42,500 went back up to 49K

Yeah well...I asked for the build dates on the 2 red 2018s and he said 1/31/18 and 2/1/18. This morning I asked him if that was the invoice or the build date. He said the invoice IS the build date or something like that. I finally got him to go look at the build date on the DOORS and guess what - both 11/2017. No thanks. I think at this point I'm going to wait for awhile for the 2019 rebates from Kia and higher dealer discounts to kick in and probably go back to Fairfield Kia. Geez.....I never spent this much energy buying a car!

I think besides the hatch, you have the HUD, rear heated seats, fly by wire shifter, Nappa leather, interior colors, directional headlights.. that's all I can think of right now.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The 19 gt1 comes with ventilated seats, not sure if they are nappa leather, i don't really care about the other features. Doesn't get cold enough in Florida for heated seats, let alone the back. Directional headlights would be cool.

I'm not too worried about the build date on them...I think the one I'm getting might be a 12/17.. I already miss my yellow one and am ready to get this one.. It's been the longest day ever...lol

LOL holy cow, after what happened with your sunset yellow paint and you're not concerned then maybe I need to get a clue!

No, they made it right.. it was a bummer having to give up my favorite color, but they made it right. I checked out the ceramic they had up there at the dealership which is a 12.17 and it was flawless even at the headlights. They have the ebadges on it and the paint looked perfect where the old badges were removed.

I have a GT1 with Driver Assist due to the price difference. Have had it 5 months and don't even think about the GT2. Nothing on the GT2 I can't live without.

It is done, even has the g type spoiler on it. I also think it may have aftermarket exhaust because it seems louder than my yellow GT was, I'll have to get under there and look sometime.

Just to confirm, you got the 2019 OTD for 47K, 66 months at 0%??

No, I got a 2018 GT2 OTD for 47K 0% for 66 months

Cool. Thanks for the clarification. I am working a bunch of lines here in the ATL area. Pretty frustrating but I have one down to $46,500 with the same terms. Still thinking of the 2019 too just like you were. There are a good number of 2018s in that trim here. No one is motivating much despite it affecting their 2019 deliveries (theory). I am also looking at the $8700 off buy out lease route.....

well, 47 OTD is around 43MSRP.. so 10K off MSRP..that's moving pretty good if you ask me.

Actually, it kicks ass based on what I am seeing here. I missed your OTD. I am not OTD, so I am hurting. One thing working against me is I have no qualifying vehicle (2012 or newer on the list) to get me $3K of rebate missing.

Yea, that hurts, I had both the loyalty or competitor and military, so $3400 went towards that also.

Thats awesome...mine was $48k OTD at 2% for 60 months via a credit union after lease buyout. The dealership i used would not honor either the loyalty or conquest cash, both of which i qualified for :( Another $3k would have been cherry on top!

I will consider this route again after they rebuy my yellow one. Depends on what deals the 19's will have.

Yea, the 2018's are going pretty fast around here..and colors are getting very limited. I was just lucky to find a ceramic with red interior left.. right place, right time.

$46,500 excluding taxes and fees is roughly a $6200 dealer discount then, right? If that's the case then the buy off lease option should be more than $8700 off. It would be the dealer discount of $6200 PLUS the $6900 lease discount (or whatever it is now) + taxes and fees. If that is in fact the case then the lease buyout is the best option over a 0% loan considering even if you had a 3% interest rate for the buyout the interest on the life of the loan would be $4K +/- so the lease buyout would save you a couple thousand.
