Check this out!!! (ECS control module)

just found thir on reddit...
Years ago, I checked the data with a good OBD2 scanner I didn't see any changes when switching drive modes on the drive mode selector.

This video only shows changes on the Mando APP, but I did also change drive modes (off camera), and there was no change to the current supplied to each shock.

Notably, mine is a 2018. I don't have sport+ as a drive mode.

Then there is only the possibility that we have a different software configuration / vehicle model...

Sorry, just getting back to this. Consensus seems to be that if you switch your Mando's power off, settings aren't saved / re-applied the next day. At least, it seems that way to me.

I am curious about your statement about "incompatible" power source - because I'm always having to reconnect, and even though I pick "automatic reconnect", I always have to re-select the Mando when I load the app. Mind you, I load the app like once every couple of months now for special occasions, rather than trying to have it active for everyday, because it seems to lose its settings overnight.

I think I picked a module in the middle of the right side of the fuse panel that was empty but labelled 10 Amp.

It definitely works, as in, I can notice that if I pick my "75-80% stiff" setting (for track), it changes the suspension for sure. But, I don't think it stays overnight, even though I have it on switched power, and it's always there when I try to reconnect, but it's almost always a manual re-connect, and I have to pick it from a list of bluetooth connections.

Does it matter whether or not I keep the App open in my phone after setting it? I'm on Android.

Edit: Note - I have a pretty early ECS10, when they were still being imported from Korea and I ordered off ebay. Is it possible you have a later revision / BIOS version?

Some circuits that are switched power, are not switched at the same time.

My dashcam for example, is switched, but switched before ignition, and switches off some time after ignition off... When I tried to power my ECS10 from the same switched source as my dashcam - I would get extremely inconsistent results.

When I switched my ECS10 power to an actual (switched with ignition) source, I then had 100% reliable connection performance.

The ECS10, when powered correctly (switched power, switched with ignition, NOT accessory), will keep the last known profile, indefinitely - until you manually change it, or disable the "module setting status"

You can check your firmware version on the phone App. Mine is a very early version as well.

Keeping the app open does nothing. You can close the app after you have selected a profile.

If your selected profile does not persists across drive cycles, I would investigate your switched power source and be sure it is switched WITH IGNITION.

This works for me.

Thanks. I have a GT1, so I don't have the E_Shifter, but I will see if the module slot you used is available. So, I need to enable "module setting status"? This is the first I'm hearing of that (documentation is so hard to come by), and I've had it for like 3 years..

Edit: or I heard it early on and have since forgotten - my memory ain't what it used to be..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

If you don't enable the module setting status.... The ECS10 is inactive.

When the module setting status is toggled off - the Mando ECS10 is NOT ACTIVE on your vehicle, AKA, fully disabled.

If when you open the APP, and connect to the ECS10, if the module setting is off - that means the ECS10 was not active.

Module setting status = off, is functionally equivalent to uninstalling the ECS10

#92 and continue...

once they write that Mando overwrites all settings - that is, if Mando is set to "comfort", even if I switch the car to Sport, the suspension will remain comfortable. A few posts later, they write again that when I switch the car to Sport, the suspension stiffens even though Mando is still on Comfort... I don't know about it anymore

I just want the car to be in Comfort no matter how I set the car's drive mode. And it doesn't work for me, 100%

Yup, loads of misinformation on the internet.
Just test it yourself with your car.

I was looking into this before i decide to sell this thing, but it isn't as easy as it originally seems.

I picked one up last time I was in Korea, was a pretty straightforward install. Done some testing on winding mountain roads and its definitely an improvement. The mando unit with bigger sway bays would make for a pretty nice handling car for its size & weight.

I like the way it handles now with swaybars and diff brace but I honestly feel Comfort is too soft and SPORT is way to phucking rough.

Yeah I don't particularly like the factory sport setting - gives me the sh#ts hitting a pothole or rough surface and have the car surge because the bump jarred my foot and opened the throttle up for a slit second. I used to just use the custom drive mode and set everything to sports with comfort suspension before i put the ECS10 in.
The pre-loaded comfort profile on the mando unit is pretty nice and the pre-loaded sports setting is firm without being overly harsh.
It would be nice if you could set different mando profiles to different drive modes

Never use the Sport setting. Too rough on the landing, too heavy on the steering.

5% Custom - Sport Powertrain, Comfort, Comfort

95% Eco

Would prefer I could switch the Bi Modal Pipes in and out in settings other than Sport and Custom as 95% of the time the outer pipes dont do anything

I actually prefer the heavy steering but I also have old Valiants with manual steering and wide front tires so heavy steering is kinda normal to me

Just used a setting of 80% front/rear for a track day (with Whiteline sways) and it was quite good!

Since we are on this subject, does anyone know a cheap supplier for the actual electronically controlled struts? I know they will have to be replaced someday and would like to stick with them, but from what I saw . . . it was like 1K+ for each one... anyone know if that's the norm for these or if there is a better supplier?
