Hi there,
just ordered the wheel caps, front and rear badges from this site.

While I'm a fairly technical person with tools, I'm thinking I'd rather have a professional do the front and rear badges for me.

I'm in Toronto, and I'm wondering who I would approach to do this? The dealer? A body shop?

Thanks!

PS, anyone else in the GTA that wants a great recommendation for window tint, PM me. The shop I went to did it all in 30 minutes, and the gap at the top of the windows is less than 1mm. IMG_0152.webp

Some other members have gotten it done at the dealership, which means they might be more responsible if there's issues with paint and such.

Body shops deal with these types of debadge /rebadge all the time . I would reco , start there . I negotiated that my GT be rebadged by the dealer and when I watched them starting on it I clearly realized they werent qualified to do it properly and I just did it myself ( there's a good How To vid on the Forum ) your car looks fantastic !!

The funny thing is that the replacement badges and wheel caps sat in the cart for a week while I contemplated re-badging the kia.

I'm a very safe and unassuming driver, but I have do admit it's been quite satisfying on more than one occasion to have some douchebag in their overpriced BMW, Audi, etc.. sidle up to me at an intersection hoping to cut in front of me when the light changes, only to be left in the dust. I can only imagine what goes through their mind when they have to pull back in behind me and realize they were left wanting by a Kia of all things.

Having said that, I do like the clean look of the OEM replacement badges.

I've never dealt with body shops, do you have any tips on finding a reputable one? Also, any photos of your re-badging you can share?

All cars have emblems that are all virtually adhered to the car the same way with 3m double sided tape so all body shops are dealing with these badges when repairing cars , I would google "best autobody shop" in your area . call them explain what you want done and get a quote . Remember that the E badge has a lug that must be removed to fit the holes left from the Kia delete on the front AND the delete in the rear will leave 2 holes tht the Stinger script is designed to cover BUT it must be done exactly right to ensure the holes are sealed properly..............

Blacked (2).webp

I also blacked my emblems and you can see I covered the rear reflectors with gloss vinyl .

westcoastGT. Love your Stinger! Getting a snow white also and changing the rear badging exactly like yours. Love the black lettering!!! Question. How did you cover the rear reflectors and what type vinyl did you use? Thanks.

As much as I like the rebadging you have to ask yourself if the Kia badge was treated with respect if we would all change it. I had a lengthy discussion with Sting about this and we think it’s our job to keep the badge to make people aware Kia has changed its game and is now producing a high class world market sports car. Kia will most likely change the badge on the near future to the E badge which does look better but we don’t want to keep people guessing we want them to know this is a good Kia car and that past reputations don’t count. My badges are going to stay . That’s my two cents worth.
