buy now or wait the 2019 model?

In answer to the G70 question, yes - no rear legroom, and smaller trunk area.

I've not driven (or even seen one in-person), but from reviews and articles I've seen, the lack of room in the rear with my 5'10" lump in the front is not going to work for me.

so i found out that the 2019 models are having wireless charging, 360 camera, LSD (Limited Slip Differential) to all gt's, rear heated seats and coasting to neutral control.
then if u want 2.0s they have some major upgrade mostly interior stuff trying make it like the 3.3gt's

Niko - really appreciate that feedback as that probably pushes me to MY2019 vs. MY2018. Can you share at a high level your source of information?

You just have to trust me. I can’t say. But my info is accurate. According to Kia latest my2019 informative release memo.

Does your source have any updated info on the US release date for MY2019? Latest I've seen on here is late July to early August (It's pretty much late July already...). I've heard elsewhere possibly not until October.

The G70 has been on sale in Canada for a while. I test drove it before buying my Stinger. Realistically, there was very little chance it could have persuaded me to get it over the Stinger, but yes, it does have very little leg room and 0 increase in headroom. I'm also 5' 10" and my feet laid flat on the ground would touch the edges of the front seat and the back seat. The Stinger has ample feet and leg room. If I sit very straight, my head touches the rear ceiling of the Stinger, and it's the exact same case in the G70.

The addition of the camera is good news for me.

Any info on colors? Even just "yes, more options available"... :)

That's awesome, if true. I may have to test drive a Stinger if they add this stuff in. It'll be between that and the G70.

Can't comment on the other features but as part of my training today I learned the 2019s will have Surround View Monitor available so I can confirm that.

Sweet! Now, the real question is what are they doing about the pricing. I’m going to guess that if they are keeping it the same with the options, they will not want to let that out there yet. Let’s hope they have better lease deals, re the Money Factor and keep the lease cash. I think the 2.0T should do better if they make it look like the GT and let both levels have the same color choices. My main pet peeve is amount of noise in that cars cabin and the way they made it look cheaper. That base model look shouldn’t even exist, LEDs for all trims up front, option for it on the rear of the 2.0, GT trim for the 2.0 plus a performance tune as an option, 280 hp/300 torque and no crappy Bridgestones!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there aren't a whole lot of interior differences between the 2.0 and 3.3, right? The 2.0 has the Premium upgrade and the GT has the GT1. The only features I can think of that base GTs have that the 2.0 doesn't are alloy pedals and metallic center console (as opposed to gloss black).

I agree with @Waynerm002 that more GT exterior options for the base model would be nice, especially paint, but it would seem like Kia would want to make the GT stand out more. One cool thing I discovered the other day was that my 2.0 Premium has beige leather seats, which is something no other trim level (GT or otherwise) offers.

Hm.. that’s weird .. you in USA get some features that are already basic in GT and optional for 2.0T here in europe
(if I understand that correct)
Camera 360 is in GT ,
Optional for 2.0T
LED front and rear on basic GT
optional on 2.0T
Colors are the same too, somebody said there will be a new color like Lake Stone
Just the GT has Nappa leather and 2.0T leather seats
Metal Pedals for 2.0T Optional

In Europe we get an Exhaust Filter and loose 10hp because of it
Some say, ambient Light will be in for both Models
Also the Display will have almost no Frame.

That’s all..
The Diesel will get the Differential and the adaptive chassis (hope that was the right word)

Cool Would be Brembo Brakes as Option for 2.0T

What i am missing, are the Lights at the Mirror, lighten up the ground. That’s Europe - every light more is almost forbidden.

It’s hard on the 2.0 once you drive the GT. I figure they didn’t boost the power too much because the engine probably can’t handle it long term for warranty purposes and they would need to beef it up too much which would raise the cost. I have never seen any advertisements on the 2.0T, it has a good amount of equipment but for most based on the looks and power info they released for the GT, that’s what folks wants. Personally, I thought only the GT would come first and a year later they would bring out a lower model also with power rating close to 300, or something to make it compete better with the Audi and BMW models it competes with.

Maybe mid cycle refresh will bring the newer engines.

Note to all. The Atlantica has been scratched at the moment. I wrote of this last month and was on the phone with Kia Consumer Affairs and the Stinger Hotline folks and confirmed that there is no new news on the Atlantica and it has been removed from the Kia Media site for over a month. Could be so as to sell what’s on the truck now and be released for 2019.
That is sad news! I am really holding off until I see what happens for 2019 now. I just wanted the missing features the Atlantica offered.
