Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Sounds like you had what I had, a loose wire in the data cable make sure all dsub pins are secured in the harness and everything is secured correctly
I didn’t disconnect any of the plugs that make the JB4 work with the car though. Just disconnected the USB cable from the laptop and restarted the engine, and the JB4 I assume, and rebooted the laptop. The issue I was having before was without anything connected to the JB4 via USB.

I reiterate my previously stated statement.

I don’t get what you’re saying then. I see how the 2nd issue could have been a loose wire. But the car was refusing to respond to pedal input beyond less than 50%. That was with no USB device connected.

Maybe disconnect the ground on the battery. Wait five minutes or so and reattach. That might re boot things..

I had something similar when I first connected mine while back. Seems when I connected the MAF connector, i inadvertently pushed one of the pins out to where it wasn't making connection all the way. Threw CEL as well.

A car-guy friend took a look and saw the pin that wasn't fully seated. Re-seated the pin all the way, reconnected the jb4 and haven't look back.....

@Terry@BMS I just installed my JB4 with EWG wires, and set PID: 20, Boost Redux: 60, FF: 50. I'm getting CEL p2564, 06AA, AAAA. Any ideas?

EWG wires installed wrong most likely. If you need tech support email support@burgertuning.com as we don't check forum support requests unless time permits.

If I enable bit 2 will it disable till temps are up to temp.

No, that would instead allow full power at any temp (not suggested).

There’s no difference when using this on an owned or leased.
What about an ecu/ tcu tune? Does it revert back to the same thing?

If your in a lease I personally wouldn’t spend the money on the ECM/TCU’s. Unless you plan on keeping the car. As for taking them out and putting the stock units back in for warranty/service issues I don’t see any issues unless the clock internally on the stock ECM shows it was out and re-installed. That would be a programmer question. I don’t know what they can actually read or can’t at the dealership.

So you think a jb4 would be a better option for a lease?

I have a 2.0 and Jb4 I am wondering if Catless downpipes will throw codes even with the jb4 and if so how would I go about this. looking to install my catless downpipes this week so would like to know. I know that the secondaries don't give a code, I would be doing these other at same time.

You will need to get the EWG wires to go with the JB4 (offered through BMS). Once installed you will run logs and send to BMS. Terry will help tune for the potential over boost issues from catless downpipes.

Sweet thanks a ton!

Hows the lozic ecu so far? :)
Love it! I feel my car has adjusted at this point. Will be running a bit harder as we get into spring. I’m stacking the JB4 (in moderation) on top using Map 6.

Hi, Can someone help point where I can find the Boost Fail Safe setting on Jb4 app ? Cheers
