Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

I don't think I can get the 30% meth stuff in South Carolina, does that count as a negative? lol. Normally you need the -32F stuff for it to have meth in it
I've read where you can do a homebrew concoction of a gallon of 30/70 (-20 rated) washer fluid + 3 bottles of "Heat" brand gas line anti-freeze in order to make it a 50/50 mixture. If you didn't have 30/70 you could probably add some Heat to bring the content up.

Edit: Had said that 30/70 was rated to -30, changed to -20

For simplicity sake I'd probably just buy Boost Juice anyway if I had WMI. I don't like mixing things and I'm still on the same tank of washer fluid I bought the car with, at 7k miles right now.

Question to those who changed to Denso plugs @ 0.022 gap. I did my plugs, install went well and nothing physically seems out of place. I did notice I am getting a smell from the exhaust on cold start, no smoke, I don't notice it once the car warms up, probably just rich fuel. I suspect this may have been happening even on stock plugs, and I would understand if this is normal since the car does run rich to warm up the cats which don't really do their job until warm. Am I just hypersensitive to this since I didn't notice it before, because I changed something? I noticed it with the car door open, this morning it did have the same smell, but I didn't smell it when the door was closed and backing out of the garage, which is normally what I do, so maybe it has always done this but I never noticed due to normal routine. Everything otherwise feels top notch, smooth idle, power is unaffected, no audible knock that I can hear.

This is just a plug swap, piggyback has not been installed.

If it's running well I don't think there is any issue. If there was a misfire then I'd obviously be concerned.

it is the blue -20 rated washer fluid that has 30% meth. The stuff that is rated for colder has glycol or other additives and you don't want that. (I edited my previous post)
SDS for Peak -20 fluid which is $13 for 6 gal at Sam's club.

Edit: Also, it is the yellow bottles of HEET that are 99% methanol, the red ISO-HEET are isopropyl which isn't as good.

For all you JB4 experts out there. When I get WMI what parameters will I have to change, what values I need to add.

Please advise @Terry@BMS

Not many.

Meth additive = 50 (to start, this is around map3 levels under full flow)
Meth scaling = 60
Min boost = 10

Terry Thanks !

Does this look correct see below edited image.

These are the values to start, what will be the values when I am at 1/4 mile on kill mode?

Yes but all the ethanol setup options should also be off. They are on in your photo.

Ok thanks Terry,

So all of these off? See below image.

Any other things I need to be aware off be on/off on the JB4? Did you see my other pics on user adjustments?

I have 7 options under ethanol that are all on by default. I should turn all 7 off? If I don't plan on WMI and Ethanol? Angel's post only shows the top 3 ethanol options.

Thanks for pointing that out I just noticed that.

For the gauges and logs, will it reflect the tuned boost value, or will it only show the factory read boost level since that value comes out of OBD? I saw 12psi today on map 1 under "boost," but it sure as heck was a little more than 12 lol (AWD). I see logs showing 10psi quite often, so not sure if there is a way to actively see the "tuned" boost level.

'Boost' and 'Boost 2' will be tuned boost levels. 'ECU PSI' is the factory read boost level (aka the modified value what JB4 tells the car it's boosting)

Yes all sliders to the left, off, which should be the default settings.

Great thanks Terry. I will say though that I never touched anything in that setting screen and they were all "ON" by default when I went in there.

What about the rest of them? Off or On

I have provided a picture above that Snipe was referring too.

Durr...checked the log...forgot about boost taper near redline, saw a peak of +4 around 4000 rpm (map 1). All is normal haha. #noob

Quick pull @ Map 8
