Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

Wow do you guys get runflat tires? Surprised there isn't a spare on the Korean ones. :) I removed ours for the kit although later I'm going to try a 2 quart tank on our WMI mounting bracket when released. I think that will allow you to retain the spare.

Any idea when you will be releasing the mounting bracket?

I had it done by a shop and it took a little bit over 4 hours. We had a small incident with the tank (not a BMS one) and we had to repair the connection elbow so it took a little bit longer than expected.

I chose to place the tank next to the battery, the pump on the foam platform that lays over it, and we routed the wires and meth line under the car and inside the front fender before entering the engine bay. I am pretty satisfied with the install, nothing apparent in the trunk, and in the engine bay the hoses were passed through black plastic pipes so it looks almost stock. I haven't tried it yet, too many cars on the way home.

No runflat tire either. We just live dangerously.

Hey @Terry@BMS ,

Once the meth is set up and we purge the line, how do we set everything up on the JB4? Just go to map 8 and thats it? I would like to run meth on map 2 and 3 or does that not make sense and always run it on 8?

What values should be entered on this page.

What values do we enter for safety mode and trigger mode?

You have a lot of options but I'd suggest only running it on map8, the default settings, which is the progressive meth map. It will keep boost low until meth is fully flowing to avoid tip in knock, and taper boost down to map1 levels if WMI flow is reduced for any reason.

How much PSI over stock will it run on map 8?

Check out the last page of the install guide to set it up properly.

"Enter 50 under boost additive. This is the primary user adjustable value and determines how aggressive the boost profile will be under full WMI flow. A value of 75 is roughly equivalent to map7 while a value of 0 is roughly equivalent to map1."
Ahhh thanks. I figured Boost Additive was your mixture and ratio of meth to water lol

What options did you go with? 2 gallon tank or 1 gallon? I'm thinking the 2 gallon would be much easier to mount cleanly due to being able to mount the pump on it, but it's expensive! :D All in I'd be at $700 so I might just sit and wait for that JB4 FMIC to be released and then debate which one to get to combat the SC summer

2 gallon :). I already have a UP FMIC, so not much I can do.

Seems like an awful amount of trouble to get to the high elevens. :( I've pretty much decided to go with an RS7 and skip all the fiddling. Life is too short. Simple software tune to the 10's without any hardware drama and spend my weekends driving instead of wrenching. :)

Best,

Best,

You interested in a husband? Don't worry, we can skip all the intimate stuff. o_O

Heh. :) I figured 40-50k for an AWD GT2 plus mods $$$ plus effort. For 60-75k, I can get a recent vintage RS7 of varying degrees of trim/mileage. With software tune alone, you're into the high 10's. Sure, the maintenance and insurance will be more, but it's an actual supercar that seats 4 and has usable cargo space. :)

I just don't see much progress being made on the 3.3T. Even with all the tuning gymnastics + meth, it's still about as fast as a stock Scatpack Charger (my current daily driver). I was hoping there would be some serious progress on coaxing 500-ish horsepower out of 3.3L, but that seems to be elusive.

Best,

Best,

Our 2018 BMW M5 runs 10.31@136mph JB4 only, and our 2018 Audi TTRS 10.8@129mph JB4 only. But, you could buy 3-4 Stingers for the price of the M5 and 2 for the price of the TTRS. :)

Having multiple stingers doesn't make them any faster. :)

If things get to the point where the power gets to where it needs to be (for me), I have no problem with the stinger. But it seems like you guys are pulling out all the stops and just barely cracking 12 secs. Impressive, but not what I'm after.

New prices mean nothing in the German performance car world. A $120k 2019 M5 will be worth less than a Kia Rio in 2020.

There's no bargain like a German supercar bargain.

(disclaimer: separate savings account for maintenance recommended :p)

How do you post the graphs of logs on here? I cant seem to get the graph to show.
