Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

We've got a nice package for $100 that includes Denso plugs, gapping tool, and magnetic socket to install them. You just supply the 1-2hrs of labor. :)
There are videos on you tube to help you...you dont have to take the intake manifold like Tork did.....its well worth it...

I did the manifold way and it wasn't bad, took an hour or so.

I’ve got a buddy with all the tools and could do it so I’m thinking I just need to buy plugs when I do it ... I don’t think dealer would care if you put different plugs in... not sure what they could say... I’m guessing people change their own plugs all the time on warrantied cars.. maybe question why you went with a colder plug ... any thoughts on that with using a colder plug?

I'm proud to be the anomaly; jb4 user for 5k miles on stock plugs at stock gap, and 1k of those miles running map3.

I'll keep it up until one of the plugs finally gives out but so far so good.

Starting to wonder if KIA actually switched what they're using for OEM spark plugs now..

Very good question. I have an early build Stinger and I blew two plugs within a week of using....one of the competitor chips. Kia replaced all plugs AND all coils when I took it in. Maybe they used something upgraded compared to the original parts....

If the dealership is looking at your plugs there's probably some other issues you should be concerned about.

WOW i had the chance to drive the car hard today with the new v7 update on the JB4 and it feels amazing....I also had the UP intercooler installed and the IAT temps dropped by 20 f degrees....It pulls so much stronger and top end is amazing ....no more lossing boost between gears like before....
@Terry@BMS great job on the update and keep working at it man i am trying to reach the 11's this summer to be the first JB4 AWD Stinger with bolt ons on pump gas to reach the 11's ..to put all the haters to rest this summer.....it sucks i cant email you my logs thou i hope you can fix that shortly so i can send you logs to review....

I saved my logs to my phone and then attached them as uploads to the forum yesterday.

The new V7 does maintain boost better. Still haven’t logged a ton of miles yet, however.

I need to reduce boost on 2nd gear, to catch better traction because I some valuable tread lmao.

Hey is anyone just running map1 ? And if so is there a noticeable difference than stock or is map 2 where it’s at?

Been running Map2 as my daily. It’s a solid map.

Map2 with the fuel control wires on v7 is all around a great setup. Proven low 12 second potential, not pushing boost too high, not a lot of concern about fuel quality on it, etc.

Ive been reading on the forum bout the Asian market, and how they like to do rolls verses drags. I havnt had much luck around the home streets red light racing cause number one im across the street from the police substation and number two traffic is just so busy....the drag strips closed for winter right now...so had me an idea...lets get on the super duper new hiway and see whats up?
Im heading north where it leads out of town and daamn within 5 mins heres a newish 5.0 Mustang with huge wide rear tires hauling azz in and out of the lanes and ill be dammed a new Infinity Q60 looking really racy in traffic also.....so me and the mustang get it on first...this roll stuff takes time cause of the traffic....duh...lol.....so we are acting fools trying to find us two lanes with no one up ahead....this took a while....so the race started at 80ish....and we were neck and neck at the start and that was it...he fell back four to five car lengths back by the time I got to 140...game over....so now this new Q60 has been the chase car behind us....the mustang slinked off and heres the Q60 ready to run....so now its trying to find clear road ahead and two lanes to race on again....one more time at an 80mph start and bye bye Q60....I quit at 140 again and the infinity was way back..ive never even seen a Q60 before...good looking car....had to go read about it....lol...400 hp twin turbo I think, and 65k...lol....that dude has gotta be pissed! I had some good 93 tier one no ethanol gas, and added 2 gals of e85.....running map 3 on the JB4....v7 ....daamn this car pulls like crazy on the big end !...Heck I was 40 miles down the hiway after the fun was over...lol
So I go back and look at my logs and nowhere can I find the mph at 140 or anywhere close...I know what I saw on the speedo twice, but nowhere on my logs does it show 140 or even 130? Whats up with that?
:) Wash

Newest log after fuel wire install. It took 4 times for Hex7 to upload without stopping.... but looks good.

@Terry@BMS my CSV file is on N54
Nice. Just gotta know how you got MPH to display correctly? Every log I’ve seen shows MPH in the 150-200 range which obviously isn’t MPH or KMPH. Yours is the first one where it looks correct.

Did yours always display MPH correctly or a recent App or firmware update fixed it?
