Burger Tuning JB4 for Kia Stinger!

How am I suppose to manage the cables so they aren't in direct contact with the hot parts of the engine? I have 0 wiggle space on my wires.

No matter what I do, I cant get it to not be touching the intake manifold.

Does your intake manifold get hot?

Penguin If you will let go of the cable it will just hover a couple of inches off any motor parts...I put my cable inside a cheap spiral coax plastic to protect the cables if they touch something...as did you right?
just let it flop...or reroute the cable coming off the tray where the box is...that will give you more room...my cable is tie wrapped to strut ....if I cut it loose theres plenty of play off the motor :) Wash

They sit on the intake manifold which is plastic. You don't want them to hang so low they touch the hot turbo/exhaust/heat shield.

I was doing this right after I took the car for a test drive with the new intakes so everything was hot. Couldn't tell where was safe. I figured the plastic bits but since this part of the manifold is attached to the metal I wasnt sure how hot it got. But my plan is to zip tie it all right here.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Thank you Terry and everyone else on here for all the help. First piggyback ever so it's been an experience.

What are your thoughts? How does it feel

Had to go straight to work so havent had much time to really try it out. I took the long way, then hopped on the freeway. even though I have to get off next exit. Seems to have improved overall speed. Cant say much more than that at this point. I have a 17 hour road trip tomorrow. So I'll def have lots of time to review it.

What drive mode are you guys using while the jb4 is on? I was running custom, which is sports engine, comfort suspension. It seemed like the car was always 1 gear too high when I needed to step on it.

I'm in comfort mode 97% of the time. You should still be able to feel the difference.

I'll most likely be on comfort the entire 17 hour drive.

Terry, do I have to update the fuel section in the app to the screenshot on the forum? I just updated firmware to the latest one.

No setting changes are needed with v8.

Thanks for all the help everyone! You guys are amazing! I hope I can return the favor with some knowledge about something else someday. I will take a picture of my redumenatry zip tie set up once I get off work and show you guys the end result.

And this project of putting on cold intakes and jb4 as well as spark change ended up taking a week. And countless unexpected problems. I am so glad it's over. Just in time too as I leave first thing in the morning. But the stinger community has been so awesome. cant thank you guys enough. Even my local kia dealership ended up putting in my cold air intakes while I was at work. And the guy didnt even charge me for it! Got his personal number too if I ever need more work done.

Half the fun is learning man. You'll never have another problem doing those things. Slowly builds up to knowing quite a bit about your car!

Just drove home from work. Tried to get into a lane with no one in front at every red light so I can take off. Only on map1 but when I go too hard the throttle. I am getting lots and lots of wheelspin. Ill have to slowly adjust the way I drive or mke some modifications via the app. Very impressed with the amounts of extra boost this jb4 is pushing out.

Map0 disables the tune and map4 is the VALET map (2L simulation). :)
Ok thanks. Another question. So does driving on map 0 with regapped or new plugs have any I'll effects? Sorry I do not know much about tuning.

No, you’ll be fine. The stock plug gaps could be tighter in the first place.

You might foul the plugs faster on map0 with regapped plugs.... but o don’t think anyone has had issues.
